During the first weekend of Sundance Film Festival 2020, major corporations and lifestyle brands hosted exciting activations that helped them connect with entertainment stars. Just like last year, Chase Sapphire hosted their 10th consecutive Chase Sapphire on Main hotspot that featured public panels with Sundance film talent and a soiree for cardholders. Chase Sapphire on Main also hosted cast parties for some of Sundance 2020’s top films!
On Thursday night, the main floor of Chase Sapphire’s space hosted a fabulous cast party for Bad Hair (a popular film at the festival). At the party, Lena Waithe, Jay Pharoah, Kelly Rowland, Elle Lorraine, and other cast members had a blast celebrating late into the night. Bad Hair is about a woman aspiring to be an on-air star at a music video show, but she is pressured by her boss to replace her natural hair with a new weave. Her new flowing hair helps her be successful, but it has a mind of its own and bites back.
On Friday, Chase Sapphire on Main’s Los Angeles Times Live at Sundance hosted an engaging panel in the basement for Worth, a Sundance film about an attorney leading the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. Caught between lawyers looking to sue and airline lobbies anxious to settle, the attorney must broker a deal with the victims’ families. Moderated by LA Times staff, the film’s stars like Stanley Tucci, Amy Ryan, and Tate Donovan shared exciting insights on the filming process and more.
Another fabulous panel at Chase Sapphire’s Los Angeles Times Live during the Sundance Film Festival featured the stars of Four Good Days, Glenn Close and Mila Kunis. This riveting film is about a woman who gets a surprise visit from her daughter who is a drug addict with a decade-long history of failed detox programs and who stole from the family. Chase Sapphire on Main also hosted a Sunday panel for Palm Springs with cast members Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti, and Camila Mendes.
The panels also featured directors and producers of the films celebrating their work among Chase Sapphire cardholders and other Sundance attendees. All of the panels were a fantastic way for festivalgoers to get exclusive insight from stars of Sundance’s top films. In addition to the panels, Chase Sapphire on Main also hosted exclusive cast parties for the popular Sundance films Shirley (attended by Elisabeth Moss), Wander Darkly (attended by Sienna Miller), and The Nest (attended by Jude Law and Carrie Coon).
There was also an exciting cooking demo with Chef Brooke Williamson, winner of Bravo’s “Top Chef” Season 14 and the youngest female chef to ever cook at the James Beard House. Sapphire cardmembers also enjoyed dining access, premium drinks, beer and whiskey tastings, yoga classes, arcade entertainment and a special cardmembers-only party. In all, the Chase Sapphire on Main activation gave cardmembers, film talent, and the public a fabulous space to toast to Sundance Film Festival 2020 in style.
