Sundance 2019 Marketing: Debbie Durkin’s EcoLuxe Celebrity Retreat Hosts A-List Stars & Labels

Over the weekend, the first leg of Sundance Film Festival 2019 took place and top entertainment stars were seen all over Park City, Utah. From film premiere parties to panel discussions, there were countless events taking place that celebrities had to attend. Luckily, Los Angeles veteran TV/Film product placement producer Debbie Durkin hosted her 12th annual #EcoLuxeLounge Park City at the Tekila Mexican Grill & Cantina on Main Street to provide a lavish space for film stars to regroup and rejuvenate.

EcoLuxe Lounge Park City is always a must-attend, behind-the-scenes hospitality event for celebrities and VIP Sundance attendees. There were many VIP spottings, including Vanderpump Rules star LaLa KentArrested Development actor Tony Hale, TV personality Vanessa Simmons, actor Richard Kind, and Jim Gaffigan, a renowned comedian. This year was a fabulous experience that also celebrated Debbie Durkin’s 30 years of attending and supporting indie filmmakers and the USA indie spirit!

Like past years, the 2019 Sundance EcoLuxe Lounge hosted lifestyle brands and labels focused on environmental sustainability, personal wellbeing, and more. Attendees loved browsing Stevie Wren Fine Jewelry‘s Colored Diamonds Winter & Spring Collections and learning about BudTrader.com (the largest cannabis distribution online site). Dr. Trevor Cates (Author of Clean Skin from Within) also showcased her organic luxury skincare.

Another big highlight was the Media Center hosted by ABC4 Utah Film critic Tony Toscano, which featured interviews with 40 major stars of the 2019 Sundance Film Premieres. Attendees also enjoyed the EcoLuxe VR Gaming Center and the booth for Washington DC Senator Paul Strauss, which hosted celebrity interviews and PSA’s in support of his 51 State Initiative. At the event, Preserve Our Wild Foundation (hosted by British Royal Lady Victoria Hervey) also raised awareness for their new non-profit.

Stars also enjoyed Tekila Mexican Grill & Cantina’s fresh guacamole and chips and scrumptious comfort foods courtesy of Chef Dean Hottle from Snake Creek Grill in Heber, Utah. Another big hit was the open bar, which featured libations from High West Distillery, Casa Noble Tequila Bloody Marias, Stella Artois, SVEDKA, Real McCoy, Kim Crawford Wines, Robert Mondavi Winery, and Red Bull energy drinks

During the lounge, author & globally acclaimed hypnotist Kimberly Friedmutter also promoted the April 2019 release of her book, Subconscious Power, and conducted hypnosis. VIP guests were also pampered with two fabulous books: Fat Shame from author Nicole Black and Future Proofed by psychologist Dr. Natalia Peart. Throughout the day, attendees were also pampered by barber Christopher Knight and makeup artist C.

Other brand marketing initiatives included the first laser-illuminated EcoLuxe Lounge sign (designed by Shane Kiel of Venus Sign Co.), which welcomed celebrities and influencers. EcoLuxe Lounge ambassadors also wore stylish shirts courtesy of Inked Wear. In all, the lounge was an interactive and fun way for Sundance 2019 big names to connect and network with innovative lifestyle labels & sustainability-focused brands.
