How to Boost Traffic on Your Website

Creating traffic on your social media pages can eventually lead your followers to visit your website. Growing your email list has also been proven to grow traffic on websites by a higher margin. In this article I will highlight all the traffic-driving methods, which are inexpensive and easy-to-perform so you can boost traffic on your website.

Analyze Your SEO

Managing your SEO is an important practice. Analyzing your SEO can cause you to update keywords used on your site, which can help to increase traffic. Using keyword planner tools you would check which keyword is trending and has higher monthly searches. You would then use those keywords on your website. Another option would be to hire someone who has experience in SEO services to do the job for you. These businesses employ people with internet marketing expertise who can bolster your SEO using methods that are industry-specific and budget accommodating.

Social Media Management

Facebook has 1.86 million monthly active users, while Twitter and Instagram both have 319 million and 600 million monthly users respectively. Gaining a strong following on either or all platforms will help in driving traffic to your website, as people share and like content posted on your social media pages. The key is to post interesting, high-quality content. For example, if you have a company Facebook page that averages a few thousand likes and you post a picture related to your niche and get around 30-40 shares on your picture, then it’s safe to say that your picture can gain at least 25,000+ impressions from a single post. This will drive new followers who are interested in your content to your website.

Hosting Your Own Webinars

Webinars are virtual seminars, and prime internet marketing opportunities. Hosting your own webinars will attract people who are interested in your company’s area of expertise. Webinars are the secret key to gaining access to large amounts of email addresses, as attendees sing-up using their e-mail address to access to the seminar. During the webinar, you also have the opportunity to introduce your attendees to any affiliate products and paid courses you have available for purchase.

Learning point: Most webinar speakers introduce themselves in the start and mention their websites so if 5000 people are attending your webinar, you are safe to say that at least 500-1000 will consider visiting your website to learn more about what you do.

Grow Your Email Lists

Another step for anyone who wants to increase their website’s traffic is the construction of an email list that they can use to send weekly newsletters or monthly promotional campaigns to their subscribers. The idea is that you will include information that is relevant to your business, while also including a link to your website in the body of the e-mail. E-newsletters and e-mail campaigns then, in turn, drive people to your website.

Reminder: Keep your email lists organized; make sure you only send relevant e-mails to the right subscribers. Also, don’t send out email blasts too frequently. Try limiting yourself to 1-3 e-mail blasts per week scale, to avoid getting your e-mails flagged as spam or causing those on the list to unsubscribe.

Write Blogs for Your Website

If you don’t have a blog on your website you’re missing out on prime internet marketing real estate. A blog is now an easy way to get your website a high ranking on popular search engines like Google. Quality blog posts that contain popular keywords related to your business can help increase your company’s search engine ranking. You just have to post consistently, that’s it! If your readers find your content compelling they will share it and this will affect your “Off-Page Search Engine Optimization,” which also plays a role in your ranking.  You also have the option of contracting out the writing of blog posts for your site and having aspiring writers submit content for posting to maintain consistency.

Freebies

Everyone loves free stuff! Giveaways are a great way to attract more followers to your website. The trick is to put information about the giveaway on your website, then advertise it on various platforms, such as your social media pages or email lists. People will eventually click on the link to participate in the giveaway, which will generate traffic on your website. However, it’s important to remember to give something that your followers will be interested in. If you host a giveaway where you hand out a fashion shopping site coupon on an IT website, your followers won’t bite.

Uploading Videos on Youtube

When I say upload videos on Youtube, I don’t mean high-tech, professionally produced videos. You can aim for simple explanatory videos that are pertinent to your business and show off your knowledge base. You can be in the videos yourself, hire current employees to create and film content, or contract the job out entirely. For example, let’s say you have a blog post and you want it as a video. You can have a discussion on the article’s topic for a video, upload it on Youtube, and make reference to your website on camera and in your video’s description box to gain more clients or customers.

Conclusion

There are many inexpensive ways to target your followers so that they visit your website, you just need to find one (or several!) that are right for your business. You just need to target the right audience, through the right medium, using the right keywords, and you’ll be good to go!
