We’ve said it once (or numerous times already!) and we will say it again: there’s no Twin Cities event production company that keeps the area’s nightlife thriving quite like Sound in Motion. For two back-to-back nights last weekend, they hosted Excision (one of today’s most popular dubstep DJs) at The Armory in Minneapolis. Each of Excision’s The Evolution Tour shows flooded the venue with bass music fanatics and further reinforced why Sound in Motion is known as Minnesota’s top electronic music event production company.
Calling Excision’s The Evolution Tour “spectacular” would be a vast understatement. In addition to his incredible, bass-heavy set, the Canadian DJ pulled out all the stops and treated the crowd to his most mind-blowing production setup yet. Each night, the colossal crowd of dubstep lovers gaped in awe at a stories-high screen that displayed astonishing visuals synced up to Excision’s many drops and pulsing beats. The crowd head-banged and danced their hearts out all night long until the very end of the show.
On both Night 1 and Night 2, other wildly popular dubstep DJs got the crowd pumped up before Excision’s set. Night 1 featured bass music heavy hitters like Dion Timmer of The Netherlands, Virtual Riot of Germany, Wooli, and Champagne Drip. Those attending the second night were also treated to extraordinary sets by Los Angeles dubstep DJ 12th Planet and Marauda of Sydney, Australia. Just like Excision’s set, these artists dazzled the crowd with lasers galore and enthralling visual screens.
In addition to Sound in Motion’s top-notch orchestration of each Excision show, it must be noted that they also did a fantastic job of marketing each event. They first announced the show on their social media channels in November 2019 with a special ticket giveaway, which garnered over 900 likes/loves/wows and over 600 shares. It was the perfect way to generate massive, immediate interest in attending the shows for the company’s tens of thousands of loyal social media fans. Sound in Motion also continuously posted about the event for months with throwback photos and countdown posts.
Sound in Motion’s many successful shows at The Armory have brought enormous business to the venue and downtown Minneapolis for years. They also have even more shows at The Armory for Minnesota music fans to look forward to: JAUZ: The Dangerous Waters Tour on Feb. 28 and Steve Aoki on March 14th. If you’re a music lifestyle business owner and want to grow your brand awareness in the Twin Cities, sponsoring these events would be an excellent way to promote your company to masses of consumers.
