CEOs, CMOs, CTOs and other proven C-level startup executives are invited to apply for the chance to join Qatar Science & Technology Park and Wasabi Ventures Global to explore the possibility of building their next scalable startup with software technologies developed at the Qatar Computing Research Institute.
The Program consists of 3 phases, and those ultimately chosen to continue in the program will receive a generous support package from the Qatar Foundation, including a $500k seed grant to help turn their ideas into reality.
Phase 1: Bootcamp (April 23-27th 2017) During this all-expense-paid 5 Day Bootcamp, get to know the QSTP technology you’ve expressed interest in better, meet the team of researchers who developed it, understand the current market application of the technology, and work with Wasabi Ventures Global partners and mentors to develop business model concepts to scale it internationally.
Phase 2: EIR Program (May 7-June 29th, 2017) Selected founders return to Doha for 8 weeks, all-expense-paid, as Entrepreneurs In Residence to work intensively to create a compelling business case for scaling the startup / technology. The program ends with a pitch for $500,000 in seed-stage capital and other benefits.
Phase 3: Startup and Acceleration (August 2017 – August 2018) Awardees return to build a team and execute their business model in Doha’s free-zone, a highly favorable business jurisdiction, and begin your operation with a $500,000 seed-stage investment from QSTP to accelerate your venture.
