The NBA fans have already started to enjoy sensational basketball confrontations between some of the biggest professional basketball teams in the US and Canada. The official regular season of the 77th NBA league started nearly two weeks ago — on October 18, and it will run up to April 9, 2023, with the 30 teams each having 82 games to play.

Sports bettors are also excited, as sportsbooks are now offering a very wide range of bets for the entire season. In fact, everyone involved in the industry, whether an online bookmaker, an oddsmaker or a gambling affiliate is now in the heat of the NBA games!

There are several teams that do really stand a chance of being crowned the NBA champions, but some of these are pointed by sportsbooks as more favorites than others. In fact, bookmakers are already highlighting five favorites and these are:

Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are coming off as the top favorite for winning the NBA championship next April, for the first time in many years. Last year, they made it to the finals, confronting the Golden State Warriors, who won the cup. Before that, they had only managed to secure a presence in the finals in 2010, when they were beaten by the Los Angeles Lakers. This season, the Celtics are expected to go deep, play hard and perform strong in every game as they are confident enough. This confidence stems from their abilities, their roster and their recruited talents.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are as strong favorites for the championship as the Celtics, only they might be more stressed because they have to defend their title and their crown. In the last NBA season, they showed an astonishing performance in their games, beating long-standing rivals Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies. This season, they are considered to stand a very good chance of retaining their leading position.

Los Angeles Clippers

You should not be surprised by the presence of the Clippers in the favorites’ list, because they have managed to restore their strength, build their capabilities and build a team that can go after the NBA title effectively. The acquisition of John Wall, the skills of Reggie Jackson and Normal Powell will most profoundly make a real difference in their dynamic and performance this season.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks have two vital assets that place them on the list of the favorites for the NBA Championship title. First, they have Giannis Antetokounmpo, one of the best basketball players of his time — with two MVPs and a Finals MVP — who is admittedly a crucial resource strength of the team. Second, they have the ‘know-how’ of the championship, getting the title only two years ago. Alongside these assets, there is also their good start and good form this season, which have brought them in front, with a perfect record — at least up to now.

Philadelphia 76ers

Don’t be fooled. The Philadelphia 76ers are concentrating much of the bettors’ attention and the bookmakers’ interest as they have managed to create one of the strongest rosters that can lead them straight up to the finals. They did not perform well last season and they haven’t had the best of starts this season, but the composition of the team, once the ‘chemistry’ is configured, is expected to drive the Sixers to the end.
