NYE Weekend is always filled with massive celebrations and music festivals across the country. Many fantastic fêtes took place in Minneapolis, but the one event everyone wanted to attend was Snowta NYE Festival. Deemed the Midwest’s largest indoor NYE festival, Snowta NYE took over the Minneapolis Convention Center and gave thousands of music fanatics the chance to toast to 2018 with big names like Post Malone and Excision.

Post Malone put on an electrifying performance and played all his top hits, including “Congratulations” and “White Iverson”.

Snowta NYE debuted as a 1-night festival in Minneapolis for the first time last year to resounding success, and this year was even more remarkable. On the first night, the crowds were treated to stellar lineups at all of the four stages. The Snowta Stage featured sensational performances by Gucci Mane (who played all his top hits), Ookay, and Pretty Lights, and everyone also went gaga over Bear Grillz and Spock at the Gray Duck Stage. Other must-see acts were Kim Jong Untz and Velvo at the Arcade Stage.

This year’s Snowta NYE festival was even bigger and better than last year with a whole other night added.

The first night’s lineup was hard to beat, but the second night’s was even more impressive. At the Snowta Stage, hip hop lovers were treated to exhilarating shows by Post Malone and Minneapolis local rapper PROF, then bass-heavy electronic music took over the arena. Attendees danced and head-banged away to fantastic sets by Mija and Ganja White Night. Then Excision and The Paradox brought thousands together to count down to 2018 with a dazzling production experience complete with a colorful cloud of balloons.

Other must-see acts around Snowta included FreeWIFI and Ho9909 at The Hideaway Stage, Conduit at the Arcade Stage, and Yheti at the Gray Duck Stage. Wookiefoot also shut down the Gray Duck Stage with a awe-inspiring performance complete with fire dancers, ribbon dancers, and vibrant costumes galore.

Attendees could also participate in a variety of activities in between the sets they wanted to see. For example, they could watch snowboarders shred an indoor course, play arcade games, and partake in “human bowling” and alien laser tag. If anyone got hungry, food vendors were close to all the stages and those 21 and up could enjoy alcoholic beverages in the many bar areas around the convention center. Snowta NYE also made sure everyone stayed hydrated, as water stations were all over the venue in easy-to reach spots.
