The temperatures are dropping in Minnesota, but Twin Cities premier EDM events production company Sound in Motion is keeping the music scene hot, hot, hot! They recently brought SLANDER‘s much-anticipated Chimera tour to The Armory in downtown Minneapolis for back-to-back nights. Home Business Magazine had the opportunity to attend both shows, which were an unforgettable fusion of raw energy, bass-heavy futuristic sounds, and a collective celebration of Minneapolis’s vibrant musical spirit.

While SLANDER captivated the crowd both nights with their high-energy performances, wobbling synths, and heavy bass drops, all of the openers were definitely worth arriving to The Armory early for. Night 1 featured William Black, whose distinct and emotionally charged melodic set left the crowd in an awestruck trance. Other notable openers were Trivecta, Wavedash, and Riot. During all these sets, the crowd happily headbanged along to every bass drop, while lights and lasers danced in sync to the beats.

The openers on Night 2 also set the stage for a truly transcendent EDM experience. Visionary DJ A Hundred Drums first played a hypnotic set that skillfully blended tribal rhythms and futuristic beats. Afterwards, Space Laces wowed the crowd with his set that pushed the sonic boundaries of dubstep and bass music. These openers curated an immersive and enchanting musical journey that warmed the crowd up for the main event.

Once SLANDER took to the turntables, the dynamic duo proved once again why they are such masters of storytelling through music. Their set first opened with a beautiful, emotional movie playing on a massive screen behind them. They then played their entire set in sync to the film — the show was an emotive kaleidoscope of sight and sound for all the attendees. All of the visuals, dazzling lasers, and dancing lights really amplified SLANDER’s breathtaking symphony of bass and ethereal melodies.
