Garrett Hilgendorf Is Changing Men’s Fashion with Atlanta-based Elk Head Clothing

Elk Head Clothing, located on the second floor of Atlanta’s Ponce City Market is the new rugged, refined. The brand aims to bring an alternative to men’s classic staples. The inspiration began outdoors when Garrett Hilgendorf shot an elk during a hunting trip and came to the realization that rugged-built elk carry a sophistication that is timeless and appeals to modern aesthetic. Garrett combined this realization with his lifelong passion for fashion and desire to bring something different into the realm of men’s style. He saw a need for clothing that had universal and timeless aspects with a modern and versatile appeal. Thus, Elk Head Clothing was born in 2015.

Michigan-native and Atlanta transplant Garrett Hilgendorf recognized he was passionate about fashion at a young age. He remembers wearing his jacket all day in kindergarten because he didn’t love the outfits his mom dressed him in. He aimed to create something different for men. Garrett wanted to take quality elements of the high-end haberdasheries and apply them to everyday garments that everyone could wear. By drawing inspiration from the outdoors and landscape of Michigan and combining it with the city culture of Atlanta, Garrett is providing stylish-yet-comfortable pieces that will take men wherever they need to go with confidence.
