At the event, Home Business Magazine caught up with Abby Lee Miller of Dance Moms. She was happy to share her #1 tip for thriving in the entertainment industry.

“Get a great attorney,” Abby said. “When I teach around the world, I always get asked that question when I do a Q & A. They ask, ‘What is your best advice to these young girls who want to be professional dancers or they want to be in television?’ I always say, ‘Get a good attorney before there is anything. Don’t worry about the agent, the manager, the social media person, or the publicist–worry about the attorney.’ I didn’t do that and I had to learn from my mistakes.”

She went on to share her fondest memory of being a part of Dance Moms.

“You got me on that one! Probably getting Mackenzie a puppy,” Abby said.
