70% of marketers see SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as more effective than PPC (Pay-Per-Click). In addition, with 68% of online experiences beginning with a search engine, it is no surprise that search marketing continues to grow. One of the best ways to expand your SEO knowledge is through skill shops and conferences, which is why there is a lot of hype building around the BrightonSEO conference.

Brighton, is one of the major hubs for startups and entrepreneurship in the UK. It is hosting the BrightonSEO search marketing conference. Whilst the conference takes place on the 7th & 8th of April, training courses and Fringe events occur on the 6th of April. With supporters like LEOlytics and Ahrefs, it catches the eyes of marketers all around Europe.

BrightonSEO Conference

The conference itself is a collection of talks from various expert speakers. With over 100 speakers across the two days, the conference covers almost everything related to SEO. Some discussions to keep an eye on are Andi Jarvis (Eximo Marketing) who dives into the age-long industries debates, in particular Strategy v Tactics. Kirsty Hulse from Roar Together also has a highly anticipated talk on compassion and confidence. It is a motivating session that inspires confidence and addresses the human side of marketing.

Automation, AI, and branding are some other popular topics that will undoubtedly be covered in detail. There are far too many talks and sessions to cover, but you find the long list here.

Talks run from 10am to 6pm, to squeeze all talks and sessions into two days. Lunch is from 1pm to 2.30pm, giving enough time for networking. There are five areas that hold these talks and sessions ― with one including the restaurant. Auditorium 1 is the largest, with a 3,000 capacity.

Each night has a party, too, from 6.30pm until 11pm. Live bands and DJ sets perform for some fun and light relief from all of that day’s information.

Training Sessions

The day before the conference, on the 6th of April 2022, approximately 20 training courses run — some of which run in London at the same time as the Brighton session. Some of the training courses include Google Analytics training, International SEO training, PPC (Advanced) training, Python for SEO Data Analysis, and Technical On-Page SEO (Advanced) training.

Many of the courses are available for Early Bird prices right now, most of which are £720. However, some sessions are running online for £300, which is more suitable for those who can only arrive in Brighton on the 7th.

Fringe Events

The day before the conference on the 6th, there are also some fringe events to consider. These fringe events are designed to help marketers meet and learn from one another. This is the day before the conference to allow for more relaxed networking before our attention focuses on the speakers.

There are various fringe events tickets available. Paid Social Show is one of the fringe events, which covers paid media advertising. The Paid Social Show share tips but also offers participants chances to meet each another.

MeasureFest is another choice, which focuses on web analytics, business intelligence, and conversion rate optimization. The final two options are the Online PR Show, which is about digital public relations, and the Search Advertising Show, which focuses on paid search on Google, Amazon, and Bing.

Accommodation and Travel

Getting to Brighton is not too difficult for many of us because of its quick and direct route into London. The conference will take place in the Brighton Centre, which is an events venue right on the gorgeous seafront.

Brighton is a popular tourist destination, so the town is well equipped for an influx of visitors. BrightonSEO teamed up with VisitBrighton to make the accommodation easier to book. The link that BrightonSEO takes you to for booking has around 4 hotel options currently, with added in the future — all of which are within a 15-minute walk from the venue.

However, Booking.com and AirBnB have vastly more options, many of which are located near the seafront. For those flying to Brighton, there is a major airport in Brighton, but Brighton is also only half an hour from London Gatwick airport.

National Express is also a fantastic option for those looking to travel via coach. This is often the most affordable option and has a direct route into Brighton. A coach from Gatwick airport into Brighton is usually £5 and takes 45 minutes. In addition, the venue is right by the coach station.

Finally, those travelling by cars have a few different car parks from which to choose. NCP Brighton Centre, Churchill Sware Shopping Centre, and Regency Square are some of the closest options. Contact the organizers for more information.
