How Vaping Saves You Money (And Your Life)

There is no better time to make the switch from your unfashionable – and not to mention, deadly – tobacco cigarettes to a safer and more affordable alternative which is vaping and e-cigarettes.

According to a latest study of THE BMJ, a premier London-based medical journal, the use of vape and e-cigarettes has helped many people to eventually quit smoking, while The Royal College of Physicians concluded in its 2016 study that e-cigarettes are 95% safer than the regular nicotine-filled tobacco cigarettes.

A 2015 Public Health England study easily comes to mind which found out that the public opinion readily assumed that e-cigarettes and vaporizers were just as deadly as a pack of Marlboro when, in fact, there was no study to back the claim.

The study of UK’s Health Ministry even suggested that these useful devices even helped many people finally quit smoking.

Today, e-cigarettes and vaping are often associated with smells that appeal to the youth. There is a wide selection of flavors available in the market, from chocolates to strawberries to bubblegum. In fact, e-liquids come in about 7,000 flavors. But these flavors are manufactured only to appeal to its young consumers which leave adult smokers with limited options.

No One Is Too Old To Vape

It is for this reason Black Note was born. Adult smokers (ages 30 to 40) in the US occupy a large part of the country’s total smoking population. It has been proven that quitting smoking cold turkey poses several health risks, that’s why it’s important to transition smoothly and gradually from tobacco to e-cigarettes.

Black Note offers a tobacco-only line of e-liquid which does not target teenagers; they appeal to adult vapors and smokers who wish to switch from the regular cancer stick to the more health-friendly e-cigarettes without missing the smell and feel of tobacco. Black Note does not have characterizing flavors such as bubble gum and desert flavors like the entire industry.

Then again, if your heart tells you the vanilla-flavored e-juice is your thing, nothing is wrong with that; if anything else, e-cigarettes allow you the freedom to be who you are by choosing what flavor matches your personality.

Here I listed some of the ways how vaping potentially saves you money and your life, too!

Play With Fire, You Get Burned (And Your Savings, Too)

According to an in-depth study by Nerd Wallet, pack-a-day smokers will be able to save at least $1,200 per year if they choose to jump into the e-cigarette wagon. The money you spend for a cigarette pack per day may not cause you a dent in your budget, but if you look at it this way, this huge saving could have been spent on other things that are more important.

Buying a starter kit will set you back by about $25 or more depending on customizations and vendors. This amount would initially hurt mildly, financially speaking, but you would soon realize you are saving money because you only have to buy an e-liquid (or sometimes e-juice) refill every time it runs out. This would cost you around $40 which is good for more than a month’s consumption if you smoke daily.

Look Younger And Cooler

While many side effects of smoking tobacco tend to happen inside our bodies, it also affects our appearance and how we look on the outside. The smoke coming from tobacco cigarettes is known to give us wrinkles, pimples, and stretch marks, and contributes hugely to the risk of getting skin cancer.

Exposing yourself to cigarette smoke will make you look older than your age. It’s about time you drop those cancerous cigarette sticks and adapt to what the cool kids are using now. But more than the aesthetic and presenting an illusion of being “in,” keep in mind that e-cigs are also a lot safer.

And, okay, cooler.

Staying healthy is cool. Not getting diseases like infertility, throat cancer, emphysema, mouth cancer, and erectile dysfunction is also cool.

Smoking, But Not Quite

With over 2.5 million e-cigarette users in the United Kingdom alone, one can still easily argue that vaping is just smoking. But, for the record, vaping lets you experience smoking without all the harmful ingredients that come in a tobacco cigarette—tar, cyanide, ammonia, carbon compounds, and 100 other known carcinogens.

Sure, vapes and e-cigarettes use food-grade flavoring and organic compounds most of us would find difficult to pronounce (Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin), but it also contains an insignificant amount of nicotine.

Since e-cigarettes and vape pens are a much safer alternative, they have been helping long-time smokers to eventually quit their expensive addiction without further exposing themselves to toxins.

To Smoke And Not To Smell

You probably hate the smell of cigarette on your fingers right after smoking that no matter how hard you wash your hand with soap or sanitizers, just won’t rub off. Even after several attempts of masking the odor with perfume, the smell stays in your hair and in your clothes no matter what.

After-cigarette smell is a thing of the past. No longer will you have to worry about smelling like someone was burned at the stake just before an important client meeting.

Conclusion

The debate whether or not e-cigarettes and vape pens are recommended alternatives to smoking cigarettes is still ongoing. Both sides have a lot of insights to offer yet still have little scientific research to back up their claims.

And until such time when a comprehensive, massive, and objective scientific study is made available to us, we can only stand by some facts that have been previously proven: that e-cigarettes are less dangerous compared to tobacco cigarettes; that e-cigarettes help many people quit smoking; and that e-cigarettes are a more affordable alternative to regular cigarettes.

In the end, we must never forget that what matters the most is we are switching to a less harmful substance. Whether you’re using e-cigarettes to change your lifestyle or to quit smoking altogether, remember that every cigarette stick you didn’t smoke is always a step forward.
