The 2015 MTV Movie Awards just took place over the weekend, and the stars were out celebrating on April 10th and April 11th at GBK’s signature celebrity gift lounge. Held at the posh Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and presented by the LifeCell all-in-one anti-aging treatment, the GBK Pre-MTV Movie Awards Lounge gave celebrities like Glee star Dot Marie Jones and Moniece Slaughter of Love & Hip Hop the perfect space to indulge in smooth beats by DJ Don Price, tasty cocktails, and an array of must-have gift picks.

Beauty and fashion gifts made a huge presence at the gifting suite. The A-list attendees all left with LifeCell’s cruelty-free anti-aging skin care, as well as Grande Naturals‘ 1 GrandMASCARA and other innovative cosmetic products. All of the stars also went gaga over Dara Ettinger‘s unique and handmade natural stone jewelry, Eye Candy of Beverly Hills‘ stylish prescription eyewear, V-Moda‘s high quality headphones, and Bible LA ‘s streetwise fashions inspired by the Wisdom found in the Bible. Travel gifts were also a huge hit at the lounge, with guests receiving a 3-night stay at Hotel Ripa Roma in Rome, Italy, as well as a 4-night stay at CeBlue Villas & Beach Resort.

Other popular booths at the lounge were for M The Movement‘s eco-friendly humanitarian designer collection, Savee Couture‘s classy women’s apparel, and The Artisan Group‘s collection of trendy artisan jewelry, bath and body products, and more. Boulevard Hospitality Group also gave away gift cards for their popular properties in Los Angeles. Nerf Rebelle gifted celebs with their stylish NERF REBELLE STRONGHEART Bow that empowers and inspires girls to think differently. Nerf shotguns and other Nerf products have been a hit in the celebrity crowd and general populace. Naughty Girls Donut Shop gave away apparel and samples of their delectable donuts. Guests were also happy to receive refreshing cocktails and bottles of product from Bare Organic Mixers, as well as Nuvino‘s single-serve, lightweight pouches of wine.

While checking out Alfalit International, the nonprofit organization that provides literacy programs for the underserved in the U.S. and internationally, Home Business Magazine caught up with Love & Hip Hop star Moniece Slaughter. She was happy to chat about her experience at the lounge.

“So far, my favorite booth is for the Nerf Rebelle, because I have a five-year-old and we engage in Nerf wars at least four times a day. I got this awesome hot pink bow and arrow and I am so excited to go home and shoot the ‘F-Word’ out of my kid. (laughs) I can’t wait to tear my house apart. The bow is definitely my favorite.”

The TV star also shared her favorite movie right now.

“I saw Furious 7 twice and absolutely loved it,” she said.

And how does the busy mom balance her mommy duties and career?

“The baby daddy helps a lot, so that’s good. We kind of pawn the kid off on each other, because we are on the same show. He gets it, as he works and I work, so we help each other. It’s pretty cool,” Moniece shared.

At the booth for the Lamda Legal organization that works to achieve the full recognition of the civil rights of the LGBT community and those with HIV, Glee star Dot Marie Jones stopped by to chat. She was happy to discuss whether she had any favorite booths at the lounge.

“All of them actually, because everybody is so cool, and of course we are digging the Nerf Rebelle. I love it! We were playing over there for like 20 minutes. Gavin of GBK always throws amazing parties.”

She also shared what it was like working on Glee.

“It was so life-changing. I’ve been an actress for 24 years (I started late when I was 27 years old) and you work so hard to get something that actually means something. Glee not only changed my life, but I’ve heard from my fans that it also helped them. It’s all so good.”

While checking out the booth for Lalo Fuente, Hollywood’s favorite celebrity trainer, Home Business Magazine caught up with Marcus Scribner of Black-Ish. He shared his favorite booth at the lounge.

“I definitely love the LifeCell skin care products, because I stay up very late and they will help with the dark circles under my eyes,” Marcus said. “I am really excited to be here!”

He went on to share his top advice for those thinking of getting into the acting industry.

“Follow what you think is best for yourself and don’t listen to what other people say,” he said. “If you enjoy acting, then keep pursuing your dream and more power to you.”

And what is it like to work on Black-ish?

“My favorite part is waking up and doing something that I love every single day,” the actor shared. “It’s amazing coming to set. It’s a job but it doesn’t really feel like a job. It just feels like we’re having a lot of fun, so it’s a great time.
