Vladimir Medinsky said that people like Fattah Chodiev are doing a great great job for the culture of Russia and for the whole world.
“I am pleased that people notice the activities of the charity foundation, fall in love with Japanese culture, visiting, for example, performances of Kabuki, but the awards are what I and the entire fund team think about lately,” Patokh Chodiev admitted in an interview.
Patokh Chodiev: Other Charitable Projects of the Kazakhstan Businessman
For almost 25 years, the Kazakhstani businessman, along with large international business projects, has been engaged in charity. Fattah Chodiev founded a fund that initially helped the alma mater of the philanthropist, and then expanded his activities to other areas and even countries.
The “Patron of the Year” award was presented in Russia since the businessman in the Cross Year of Russia and Japan implemented several major projects at once. “The film tells the story of how, for several centuries, two countries tried to make friends, to make the unfamiliar culture of another country accessible and understandable, to establish relations and resolve conflicts. Now this movie is one of my favorites. I don’t remember that any other film over the past few years caused me so many vivid emotions,” the philanthropist said after the premiere of the film in Kazakhstan.
J-Fest
Since 2010, Chodiev has been investing in the holding of the popular Japanese festival J-FEST. For 10 years, this event has been collecting talents from Japan on its site. The Kazakhstani businessman said that he had never seen such a full house among the audience.
As if the whole world is gathering in Moscow to appreciate the performance of Japanese artists. After each festival, viewers also note that they really like the fact that at the end of J-FEST the night of showing modern high-quality Japanese cinema is traditionally held. Patokh Chodiev: Kimono Ichiku Kubota
Fattah Kayumovich, together with his charity foundation, saved the collection of kimono by the Japanese fabric designer Itiku Kubota. In 2011, in an interview for the press service of the charity fund, Chodiev shared his thoughts on the Kubota collection.
“I saw a kimono ten years ago in the Ichika Kubota museum. It was like yesterday. I immediately fell in love with the creator’s plan. Then I thought that the whole world should appreciate this incredible beauty. The location of the museum is also inspiring. “Ichiku Kubota” is located near Lake Kawaguchi, from where you can see Mount Fuji. When I found out that the Japanese artist’s kimonos were going to be put up for sale, and the museum was on the verge of bankruptcy, I didn’t doubt for a minute that it was necessary to save the heritage of Japanese culture.”
