Home Business Magazine Attends Sundance and Catches Stellar Performances
Movie screenings weren’t the only events that stole the show during Sundance 2016; riveting music acts were also all the rage. Home Business Magazine had the opportunity to attend the Toyota Mirai Music Lodge at Sundance and catch the stellar performance by Irish acoustic duo Ferdia Walsh-Peelo and Mark McKenna of John Carney’s Sundance film, Sing Street. From the mesmerizing guitar chords to the heart-stopping vocals, it was a truly electrifying experience.

Home Business Magazine had the opportunity to attend the Toyota Mirai Music Lodge at Sundance and catch the stellar performance by Irish acoustic duo Ferdia Walsh-Peelo and Mark McKenna of John Carney’s Sundance film, Sing Street. From the mesmerizing guitar chords to the heart-stopping vocals, it was a truly electrifying experience.
Air Traffic Controller also put on a remarkable performance at the Toyota Music Lodge. The Seattle-based band is quickly rising to the top of the music charts, as they were 2015 Billboard Hot 100 Fest performers placed on the NPR Hot 100 List for SXSW, named The Guardian Band of the Day, Best Indie Alternative Song in the Independent Music Awards, and have over 12 Million Spotify plays. Aside from the musical acts, attendees also enjoyed checking out Toyota’s ground-breaking new hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, the Mirai. They also looked on as professional eagle wranglers brought in a GIANT golden eagle into the lodge for a photoshoot (to commemorate Morgan Spurlock’s latest doc, The Eagle Huntress).
In addition to catching music acts, Home Business Magazine and other stars like Spike Lee, Gilbert Gottfried,and Sopranos star Louis Lombardi received an array of impressive gifts from small fashion businesses attending the lodge. The star guests received stylish and versatile jackets from Members Only, jaw-dropping pieces from Raven Jewelry, and fashionably political timepieces from Revolution Watches (which allowed you to choose designs for candidates like Bernie Sanders). Everyone also went gaga over essentials from The Art of Shaving and the eco-conscious & chic hats, beanies, and backpacks from Tinlid Hat Company.
The lounge also hosted an array of green living, food, and refreshment sponsors. Amidst browsing the gifting area, the attendees sipped on Sierra Nevada brews, wine from Four Daughters Winery, and American rum from Papa’s Pilar Rum. They also snacked on popchips and Garrett Popcorn and stayed hydrated with Trimino‘s protein-infused water and Just Water. Also in attendance were EcoPlanet Bamboo, Repurpose Compostables sustainable dinnerware, 100% PURE, the bmiSMART mindful weight loss system, and the Unreel trending video service. Earth Day Network was also there to promote their mission of broadening, diversifying, and activating the environmental movement worldwide.
Later in the evening, the Lodge played host to the annual Asian Filmmakers reception, honoring more than a dozen Asian films and filmmakers in the Festival.
In all, the Toyota Mirai Music Lodge proved to be an excellent venue to chill out from the day’s activities, learn about exciting new business startups, and celebrate everything Sundance 2016 had to offer. It was the perfect way to really get the word out about new business launches and tie brands to the unsurpassable prestige of the annual Sundance film festival.
