Producing a successful large-scale music event requires careful attention to many major details, from crafting the promotional strategy to checking sound and bass quality, planning the visuals, and coordinating travel with the artist’s personnel. The event production masters at Sound in Motion have the process down pat, as they brought yet another sold-out crowd to The Armory (an enormously popular Minneapolis venue) to see Armin van Buuren. The show was an enthralling experience for all of the attendees!

Grammy-nominated and named the #1 DJ in the world by DJ Mag (five times!), Armin van Buuren has been dominating the trance music scene for over two decades. The Dutch DJ’s at-capacity show at The Armory proved that his massive fanbase is as loyal as ever! He played a flawless, captivating set filled with pulsing bass, jaw-dropping visuals, and beautiful trance beats. At one point, Armin also instructed the crowd to crouch down and then jump up and down at the exact same moment–it was a super exiting sight to see!

The giant crowd danced late into the night, until the very last beat. Even before Armin’s set, EDM lovers watched phenomenal sets by Ruben de Ronde (a progressive house DJ from The Netherlands) and Sound in Motion founder Jack Trash. Both of their sets pumped up the crowd and got everyone in great spirits before Armin took to the turntables. A renowned figure in the Twin Cities EDM scene for the last 20 years, Jack Trash wowed the crowd and also brought out a saxophone player who played along to his beats!

Before the show, Sound in Motion got their vast social media fanbase buzzing about the event for months. They first announced the show on Facebook in October with a “like, tag, and share” contest to grow word-of-mouth buzz about the event. This post got hundreds of comments and likes. They also posted 2-week and 10-day countdown posts to get their followers even more excited about the event. These social media posts helped generate mass awareness about the event and get thousands of fans ecstatic about the show.

Sound in Motion did an excellent job of promoting the show on their social media channels.

Sound in Motion consistently keeps the Twin Cities music scene thriving, and they have even more exciting shows at The Armory that are sure to attract sold-out crowds: Excision Night 1 2 on Feb. 14th and 15th, JAUZ on Feb. 28th, and Steve Aoki on March 14th. All Twin Cities lifestyle business owners and executives should definitely consider sponsoring these events to get their brands tremendous exposure.
