The Story Behind the Successful GOAT Soap Goat Milk Skincare Company

GOAT Soap

GOAT Soap, a family-owned and operated company, based in Roanoke, is the result of an idea born on a trip to Brooklyn, New York City. But its owner’s love for natural ingredients dates back many years ago.

Bryce and Emily Gannon have always been conscious of the ingredients in the foods they eat and feed their children. Living in Roanoke, Virginia, the couple would make regular weekend trips to the Farmer’s Market in their surroundings to purchase nutritious and organic products for their family.

One day, the two came across a local artisan that produced his own goat’s milk soap, and Bryce and Emily fell in love with the concept from the beginning. The two started to use goat milk soap and discovered that their skin looked and felt amazing. From that moment on, they never went back to using any other soap.

During one trip to Brooklyn, New York City, Bryce and Emily had a long conversation with Emily’s sister and her brother-in-law about skincare routines and natural products that contain no harsh chemicals. The four discussed the importance of using natural products on themselves but specifically on their children. Then, the lightbulb went off! Bryce and Emily decided to start GOAT Soap to make a better soap so that families around the world wouldn’t have to worry about their soap harming their kids’ skin.

The two were so in love with the benefits of the goat soap that they soon learned the soap-making process directly from the local artisan. GOAT Soap now creates an all-natural goat milk soap that their customers trust for their entire family.

Soon, “From our family to yours, we are proud to share GOAT Soap” became the company’s slogan.

GOAT Soap

The Greatest of All Time: GOAT

The company’s name is a pun to express the Gannons’ expectations about their product: GOAT stands for The Greatest of All Time.

The Gannons learned about saponification and the chemistry behind it, the ingredients used, and the techniques required to produce the greatest goat milk soap of all time. The two decided to produce a soap that they would use on their younger daughter without worrying that the soap will harm their child’s skin in any way. Bryce and Emily decided to produce something all-natural and organic.

The formula used to produce the soap has been evolving over ten years of careful craftmanship and chemistry to provide the finest quality of all-natural soap. The two went through a trial-and-error process until they felt like they had crafted the greatest soap of all time.

GOAT Soap only sells goat milk soaps containing no harsh ingredients or fragrances that can hurt their customers’ skin or health. The company’s goat milk soap lacks artificial ingredients and chemicals that commercial mass-produced soaps often contain.

GOAT Soap started from its owners’ love for natural and organic products and turned into a successful brand whose purpose is to meet a growing need to provide healthy skincare products to families.

Emily Gannon said, “It all started from a desire to take such a good product with goat’s milk in it to more than just the downtown Roanoke farmer’s market.” From there, Emily and Bryce started to craft soap in their own home to discover the best recipe for the greatest soap of all time. Soon, the two discovered that they could not produce enough soap in their own home, as they were balancing work and their newly-started business, and their family. Thus, the two soon found a partner who would use their recipe and produce enough volume for their business.

GOAT Soap now only produces soap in small batches and is handcrafted. The company aims to be different than all large soap companies that produce soap and hide behind false claims of natural and pure, because a lack of regulation allows it. That is why GOAT Soap promises to allow their customers to bring home with them a clean, natural bar of soap that can be used by the entire family.

GOAT Soap

GOAT Soap produces all-natural lavender goat milk soap packed with vitamins such as A, B1, B6, B12, C, E, D, and many others, to hydrate the skin and leave their customers with complete peace of mind that their skin is spoiled with organic skincare products.

The company’s founders believe that no customer should bathe in harmful chemicals, just like they wouldn’t eat foods containing such chemicals. That is why GOAT Soap’s mission is to provide families around the world with an all-natural goat milk soap product built by nature that hydrates the skin.

The Gannons worked hard to bring their idea to life and share their passion with their family and their customers. From the moment they realized the many skin benefits of goat milk soap, the two decided never to use other types of soap again and to create a business that will help others keep their skin healthy and hydrated.

Emily and Bryce’s products are nothing like the mass-produced commercial soaps, which are not even legally allowed to be called “soaps.” The couple has shifted their attention towards high-quality ingredients, and high-quality essential oils that they use in the saponification process to create a formula that has become something people of all ages can enjoy and safely use.

GOAT Soap’s goat milk soaps have been designed to cleanse deeply, yet gently, hydrate the skin, relieve irritation and inflammation, and prevent premature aging.
