Sound in Motion Heats Up Summer With 3-Day ILLENIUM Weekend

On late nights in the middle of June, all we can think about in the Twin Cities is the next big concert happening at The Armory. Or better yet, the next full 3-day weekend of back to back shows by one of the biggest EDM artists out there right now. Sound in Motion recently claimed the weekend of June 9th-June 11th as its own by bringing ILLENIUM’s LIVE tour to The Armory in Minneapolis. Not only were Friday and Saturday both completely sold out, but his 3rd show of the weekend on Sunday was close to selling out. Thousands of EDM lovers around the Twin Cities and beyond flocked to The Armory for this much-anticipated show. It was a huge success!

Minneapolis is always a pivotal stop for any EDM artist making their way across the country on a tour. After the success of the first show ILLENIUM put on at The Armory last year, he had to come back on his LIVE tour for rounds 2, 3, and 4. These shows treat the attendees to an unforgettable all-nighter that dazzles the brain and body with beautiful melodies, heart-pounding bass drops, and a mesmerizing light and laser show. Home Business Magazine had the opportunity to attend the Saturday show, and it was definitely one for the books. The night started out with Annika Wells showing her beautiful vocal ability through both solo songs and collaborations with Said the Sky and ILLENIUM himself. Next Said the Sky took the stage and showered the crowd with elongated, soaring melodies and their emotive undertones that kept the crowd feeling all the beautifully melancholic euphoria.

Finally, ILLENIUM took over the stage with an almost 2 hour set that took his audience on an emotional audiovisual journey from start to finish. ILLENIUM lit up the entire venue with his dazzling visuals, electrifying lasers, and even fireworks that were perfectly timed to every drop. It was a visual masterpiece that blended into the music seamlessly. Thousands of concertgoers in the sold-out crowd became one with the music, blissfully singing along to every heartfelt lyric. ILLENIUM skillfully mixed his show for an incredible contrast of uplifting melodies and headbanging bass drops. Sound in Motion truly took their time with this show to make sure every crisp visual, earth-shattering drop, crisp laser, and dazzling firework was flawlessly times to his soul-stirring melodies. The crowd couldn’t get enough when ILLENIUM finally closed out the night with a mix of his past and presently popular songs.

The 2023 LIVE Tour brought thousands of EDM-lovers from around the state back to The Armory in Minneapolis for a spectacular weekend filled with shows by one of the most popular EDM artists of this generation. Sound in Motion continues to be the backbone of these shows with their top-notch planning and production for the biggest names in the EDM industry.
