The 2016 Sundance Film Festival was chock-full of thought-provoking cinematic masterpieces that made you question how society works. One such screening was for Chelsea Does Marriage, part one of four of the brand new Netflix documentary series starring actress/TV personality Chelsea Handler. A documentary is the perfect way for entrepreneurial filmmakers to help others see how they view the world, and the Chelsea Does series gives a truly enlightening look at how Chelsea Handler perceives marriage, racism, Silicon Valley, and drugs.

Home Business Magazine had the opportunity to attend the Chelsea Does Marriage screening and Q & A at Sundance 2016, held at the Egyptian Theatre. Chelsea Does Marriage was hilarious and highly entertaining–a wondrous breath of fresh air amongst the many overly serious films shown at the festival. The documentary is filled with Chelsea’s sassy and truthful opinions about marriage, just as you would expect and want, and it also guides you through her experiences in the dating and romance world. Several highlights of the movie are when she works with a match-making service, tries on a wedding dress, and gets an inside look at a famous small wedding chapel in Las Vegas.

There are many other fascinating moments, such as her behind-the-scenes visits to the Ashley Madison Agency headquarters and a BDSM house. In the house, she gets to hear the workers’ side on what it is like working in an industry dedicated to bondage, dominance, submission, and more. In other instances, she attends a couples’ therapy workshop and allows you, the viewer, to sit in on some of her honest and hysterical no-filter dinner table chats with her family about their thoughts on marriage. Not only is the documentary funny and easy to watch, but it also really helps you understand why Chelsea doesn’t feel a need to fit the status quo regarding marriage in our society. In all, Chelsea Does Marriage is definitely worth watching.

On the red carpet before the Chelsea Does Marriage screening, Chelsea chatted with Home Business Magazine about what else is on her business bucket list:

“I am doing this Chelsea Does series now then I am going to be working on my show in the spring,” Chelsea said. “Chelsea Does is a nice bridge to the show and it will introduce people to the direction that I am going in and what I want to do.”
