Solving the age-old problem of pocket squares and handkerchiefs not staying in place in the chest pocket of a man’s suit, Cobb’s work in corporate sales, management and wardrobe consulting for several years gave him vast experience and insight to create this trendy tool.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Cobb understands the importance – in today’s society – in the details of one’s wardrobe. A defining factor that sets one apart from the crowd, style can never be understated. Growing up in a single family household as the oldest of four children, Cobb’s life has never been a straight line. Getting his education and working in corporate America, his main mission was to become an entrepreneur in pursuit of big business.
Ever since his mother brought him to his first flea market and taught him how to greet people properly and negotiate places, it’s been fate:
“I fell in love with business and connecting people’s needs to a product or service. My mother always taught me that I could be anything I wanted to be.”
In 2013, Cobb saw a Steve Harvey Show segment called “Ask Steve” where Steve was showing a married couple how to fold a pocket square. In the segment, the only thing Steve could come up with was fabric tape to secure his pocket square. To Cobb, it was simply unacceptable that the best dressed man in America did not have a solid product to secure his look. Taking action on his idea for the Best Pocket Square Holder with the goal of solving this problem for the masses, this tool is the final key piece to the puzzle in men’s fashion.
Always a man of fashion, Cobb noticed that men struggle with securing the fashion and function of pocket squares in their chest pockets. Doing some research, he discovered that not one quality product could claim to secure a pocket square all day long without loss of integrity or style. Launching the Best Pocket Square Holder in November of 2014, it is now sold in 50 states and 37 countries – and counting!
