Many people start businesses to make money and gain independence for their lives. Oftentimes they are burned out, overwhelmed and frustrated with their bank accounts because they are missing out on the biggest piece of the puzzle: creative marketing.
And now they are faced with another challenge—running a business from home during a pandemic. Many are scrambling to figure out what to do next, trying to focus on the hustle and bustle of securing clients, contracts and customers. Despite what the odds may look like, now is still the time to sell and market your business. People are looking for solutions and your business is the answer. Here are a few ways to market your products and services during quarantine:
1. Show Up on Social Media
Think about it. Everyone is at home and on their phones right now. This is probably the best time to get the most eyeballs. As a business owner, you now have a grand opportunity to present your offers, put yourself out there, and let people know that you exist. Even if you are not going to sell, you can still serve. Show up for your audience, give them a tutorial on how to use your products, teach them how to become better in their lives and how your offerings help to meet their immediate needs.
2. Get Consistent with Your Email Marketing
Many of you are leaving money on the table by not focusing on actively building your list. Emails are effective. They give people the opportunity to connect and engage with you and your business, in a more intimate way than social media. Don’t spend too much time focusing on the people who are going to unsubscribe—focus on serving the people who actually want to hear you. Get creative with your email marketing, send audio newsletters, create mini-magazines. Do what you need to do to capture the attention of your audience.
3. Use Your Tools
Go live! Going live is like creating your own stage on demand. It’s one of my go-to marketing strategies because there is no other form of marketing that allows you to get in front of an immediate live audience.
4. It’s All About the Ads
You need to make sure that you are curating ads on Instagram and Facebook. It’s the perfect way to gain new followers, leads and potential customers. Put yourself in the forefront of your business. Again, show people why you are the solution.
By putting all of these tools together, you now have a surefire way to establish yourself as an authority, structure profitable marketing campaigns and be on your way to making sales, even during COVID-19 and the current pandemic.
