Mobile Signal Should Be a Priority for Business Space

The focus of businesses has switched to the digital realm as the world is increasingly relying on the virtual space from day-to-day activities to work-related tasks. Yet firms overlook the need of better access to this. Companies also forget how calls and SMS are still considered important channels among the several by which businesses and customers interact. These are also more commonly used for internal communication. Here are a few reasons as to why businesses should give focus to improved mobile reception in business space:

  • Clearer calls

There’s probably nothing more embarrassing than to have your call drop in the middle of an important conversation with a client or potential customer. They may be understanding about the situation, as it’s likely they’ve gone through the same problem as well but undeniably, time and momentum was lost when the connection cut. Having the incident repeat or poor quality audio would also take a toll on the client’s patience. These would reduce the likelihood of a deal closing and add strain to the business’ relationship with its customers.

  • Faster data-sharing

As departments, heads and staff can exchange information quickly, well-informed and evaluated decisions are made faster. Clients’ concerns are more easily relayed, and management can spot any drops in sales figures and performance ratings in a shorter amount of time. Being alerted to these situations and easy access to the information needed allows company leaders to act quickly. Employees are also empowered to address issues and are trusted to have better judgement with necessary tools at their disposal such as a remote library.

  • Real-time evaluation of applications and software

Stronger data connection allows the company to experience first-hand what customers undergo using the applications and software offered to them. General glitches are easily verified and staff can experience other issues that may occur to individual cases such as loss of access, screen hanging, etc. This allows the IT department to quickly resolve issues and see the results for themselves. Innovation is also boosted as staff can easily test updates.

  • No signal hunting

We’ve probably all gone through the search for good signal in the office, going from end to end and room to room. In worse cases, you might’ve needed to go outdoors. This hampers the quality of work. Time is wasted and needing to leave the computer or laptop at the desk would also undermine the employee’s ability to immediately address issues without the instant access to the necessary files.

  • Mobile networks offer better security

As people’s reliance on the internet increases, cybercrime’s rampancy is also more frequent and attacks are developing in sophistication. While WiFi connections are more popularly used, they offer poorer cyber security than mobile networks. Data is left much more vulnerable to hackers via WiFi. With more companies adopting the BYOD or “bring your own device” policy, connecting to the firm’s WiFi also becomes a hassle because of the firewall. For quick checking of chats, emails, etc., employees prefer to forego with using the office WiFi and connect to their mobile network.
