Year after year, Sundance Film Festival provides endless celebrity marketing opportunities for brands that host activations and events. Just like last year, DIRECTV and AT&T put on an array of events that attracted the most talked-about celebrities. From star-studded film premiere parties to an invite-only viewing party for the Sunday NFL games, their DIRECTV Lodge presented by AT&T was one of the most popular stops of Sundance 2018.

On the first day, VIP’s flocked to events taking place at the DIRECTV Lodge presented by AT&T. Chloe Sevigny attended a Lizzie cast luncheon, Paul Rudd attended a luncheon for The Catcher Was A Spy, and Grace Gummer was at the premiere party for The Long Dumb Road. Many A-listers were also interviewed at the Variety Studio presented by AT&T at DIRECTV Lodge, including Nicolas Cage, Jane Fonda, and Molly Shannon.

The DIRECTV Lodge presented by AT&T also put on an exclusive party for the world premiere of White Rabbit, one of the top films of Sundance 2018. Starring Vivian Bang, Nana Ghana, and Nico Evers-Swindell, this dramatic comedy centers on a Korean American performance artist in Los Angeles struggling to be authentically heard and seen through her multiple identities. The premiere party featured talent appearances and more.

Even more high profile stars, like Hilary Swank and Octavia Spencer, attended events taking place on the second and third days of the DIRECTV Lodge presented by AT&T. A-listers like Jon Hamm, Jaden Smith, and Usher attended the Skate Kitchen afterparty, Rob Pattison and Forest Whitaker attended a pop-up dining experience with Craig’s, and Danny McBride and Luke Wilson attended an Arizona luncheon. The Variety Studio also interviewed big names like Maggie Gyllenhaal, Elle Fanning, and Peter Dinklage.

There’s no doubt that DIRECTV and AT&T know what they’re doing when it comes to celebrity brand marketing at each Sundance Film Festival. Every one of their Sundance 2018 events brought in swarms of the film industry’s top stars and influencers, who all mingled and discussed future projects amongst AT&T and DIRECTV branded backdrops. If you want to boost awareness of your brand, sponsoring DIRECTV and AT&T’s Sundance 2019 events would be an invaluable strategy for your company.
