The spring cleaning season is almost here! Christina Giaquinto of Alcove Closets custom closets in New Jersey is here with helpful tips on ways to declutter and organize your home office for greater daily productivity. Here is her must-follow advice for business owners:

.) An impressive desk drawer is key: It is so important to have the essentials organized. When you open your desk drawer you want to be inspired to work! That means your essentials like paper clips, a stapler, tape, and pens should be neatly categorized and organized when you open your drawer. The simple and easy solution for this is to add drawer dividers. You can get these at any store, and they will transform the desk drawer so quickly that you won’t spare a minute of work!

.) Use baskets for bulky items: Baskets are great for extra supplies like packaging materials and bulky items you don’t use that often. They also add a beautiful design element to the space.

.) Inspiration, design, and decor: Simplify your office so you can focus on things that inspire you. That is one of the most, if not the most, important parts of the home office. What inspires you toward your goals? What motivates you? Add these elements to your office. Family photos, vision board pictures, calming art, or work keepsakes are what you want to see every single day – NOT clutter.Any time I organize a home office, I focus on this element above all else: adding as much inspiration as possible!

.) Simplify the process and remember these 3 steps: – Declutter the space.- Create an effective and organized system.- Fill your office with an abundance of positive inspirational energy.
