Vaping has become so much more popular in recent years. It has multiple benefits over smoking conventional cigarettes, most importantly how much better it is for your health. However, while there isn’t much that can go wrong with a cigarette (unless it gets wet,) vapes are a little bit more complicated.
There are a wide range of different issues that you can face, but luckily, there are also a lot of things you can do to fix those issues. If you’re looking for some practical vaping advice, then read on to learn how to troubleshoot some common vaping problems.
Low vapour production
This one is quite a broad issue, so there isn’t a single solution. However, common reasons why your vape might not be making enough vapour include a low battery charge, or a worn-out coil. If the vape is starting to taste a little burnt as well, or just slightly weird, then it’s more likely that it’s the vape than the battery. Of course, it’s also worth checking if there’s any e-liquid left in there as well!
A taste of burning
A slightly burnt taste is quite a common issue to have with vapes — it normally means that you’ve either run out of e-liquid or your coil needs replacing. Check that the wick is covered in e-liquid, let it soak in for a little bit, and then hit it again.
If it still tastes bad, then you’ll likely need to change your coil or disposable vape with a replacement from somewhere like Elux 3500 Disposable. Coils do need changing every now and then, so it’s worth setting a regular reminder on your phone to make sure you don’t forget for too long.
Leaking e-liquid
Some vapes are quite delicate, and if they become damaged, they can often start to leak. However, damage isn’t the only reason why your vape might start to leak — the tank could also not be tightened properly, or the o-rings could be worn out.
If you can’t see an obvious crack, then it’s worth taking the vape to bits and giving everything a good clean. Check the seal between the tank and the main device, and check that there aren’t any big pieces of dirt in there. When you refill it, make sure that you don’t put too much e-liquid in, as that can also cause the device to leak.
Strange noises
Vapes can sometimes make strange gurgly noises when they’re filled with too much e-liquid. If yours starts to make weird noises, then it’s worth emptying a little bit out and trying it again. If that doesn’t fix it, then empty out the tank completely and look for any potential blockages or pieces of dirt.
All of the parts of a vape will have a limited lifetime — eventually, it will simply be time to replace the whole thing. However, by replacing the individual parts as and when it’s needed, you can maximise the amount of usage you’ll get out of it. If none of the tricks listed in this article help to solve your vaping problem, then it’s worth dropping into a specialist vaping shop — they’ll likely be able to work out what’s gone wrong.
