“Connection is why we’re here. We are hardwired to connect with others,
It’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives” – Brené Brown

We are in challenging times, as the world reimagines how we live together while also being asked to live apart. Yet difficult times breed innovation, as we seek new solutions to do everyday activities — from how we work, to how we connect, to how we stay healthy. As a global nutrition company and an essential service, we are providing food products to our global consumers and connecting in creative ways to help people, now more than ever, lead their most healthy lives.

One of the many critical areas consumers are focused on right now is products that not only have a long shelf life, but also products that provide essential nutrients. According to a recent survey, nearly 60% of global consumers report that they have become more conscious about their overall health and their immunity. As a result of this, 73% of consumers say that they plan to eat and drink healthier in this new world we are living in.

Our company and our independent distributors are working hard to meet the increased demand of our Herbalife Nutrition meal replacement shakes, and other nutrition products, providing full nutritional needs to consumers in more than 90 countries around the globe. As consumers seek shelf-stable products that are nutrient-rich, our shakes are easy to make (simply mix with water) and importantly, yield 21 vitamins and minerals plus other essential nutrients. We’re hearing from so many of our distributors about the ways they are connecting with customers more frequently through social channels, Zoom, email, and phone. The creative ways to support our consumers is heartening to me, that as we are distanced, we are connecting like never before.

We know that community — the sense of belonging and working together to achieve goals — helps people change and improve their lifestyle. One of the ways we help people lead a healthier life is through our thousands of Herbalife Nutrition Clubs around the world. The clubs, which are locally owned and operated, provide a supportive community for customers to focus on good nutrition, activities such as regular exercise and other health and fitness goals, to achieve their optimum health. In the U.S. alone, while providing healthy alternatives to fast food, in areas where they may otherwise be limited.

Back to community and connection, there are a number of ways our independent distributors have pivoted their business in order to ensure the health and safety of their customers. Many Nutrition Clubs have closed their dining rooms and offer only curbside and/or delivery. Others are also limiting the number of people in the nutrition clubs to align with guidelines of the states and countries they operate in, practicing safe social-distancing and diligent hygiene. Outside of nutrition clubs, many independent distributors are having a lot of success utilizing social media, creating fun weekly online activities such as, “Workout Wednesdays” or “Thursday Cooking Classes,” putting together digital “fit camp challenges,” as well as empowering coaching videos to maintain a sense of community and accountability.

These uncertain times are forcing us to find new ways to connect. Herbalife Nutrition is committed to finding innovative solutions to help people thrive, ensuring that they can have access to nutrient-rich foods and a support system to help them live their best lives.
