Sound In Motion’s Event Marketing Tactics Result in a Sold-Out Alison Wonderland & Dillon Francis Show

Sound In Motion is Minnesota’s mastermind company it comes to EDM event production. Their events consistently attract massive crowds and bring enormous business to venues all over Minneapolis and St. Paul. Last weekend, they brought Alison Wonderland & Dillon Francis‘s much-buzzed-about Lost My Mind Tour to The Armory, a huge venue in Minneapolis. Sound In Motion’s savvy event marketing resulted in a sold-out show!

To generate extensive word-of-mouth buzz about the show, Sound In Motion announced the event on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with an engaging ticket giveaway months in advance. It resulted in an outpouring of likes, comments, and shares from the company’s tens of thousands of loyal fans that follow them on social media. It was a fantastic way to immediately get the booming Twin Cities EDM scene ecstatic for the show.

After the initial announcement, Sound In Motion further raised awareness and interest in the show by consistently posting about it on all social media channels for weeks. They shared #tbt and #fbf posts featuring past Alison Wonderland and Dillon Francis shows they’ve hosted. They also shared “1 Week Away” and “4 Days Away” countdown posts to make fans even more excited about attending. Another superb tactic was announcing the low levels of tickets available, as it sparked great interest in hurrying to purchase tickets.

These terrific social media marketing tactics helped Sound In Motion sell out The Armory in Minneapolis, which is a huge feat considering the venue’s colossal size. The pre-performer, Diablo, played a thrilling show and got the crowed fired up for the main acts. Dillon Francis and Alison Wonderland then both crushed their bass-filled sets and the production was on point with synchronized lasers, captivating flashing lights, and a dynamic sound system. Alison Wonderland even surprised the crowd by playing one of her hit songs on a cello!

Sound In Motion sold out the first-ever show (Seven Lions) at The Armory, and the Lost My Mind Tour was another sellout to add to their list. They also have a packed roster of other must-attend events coming up, including EXCISION at The Armory on Feb. 9th, ARTY at REV on Feb. 23rd, Borgeous at REV on April 27th, and the Griz – Ride Waves Tour: Season One at The Armory on May 17th. All of these shows are are sure to attract hordes of fans and will be great brand marketing opportunities for lifestyle sponsors.
