Music festival season is always a brand marketing bonanza. Over the weekend, the 2018 Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival brought a flurry of branded events to Las Vegas. One top event was the Doritos’ Blaze Stage Official Life is Beautiful Pre-Party, held at SLS Las Vegas. Judged by Busta Rhymes, this party gave aspiring rappers the chance to compete for a $50,000 grand prize and also featured a performance by Wiz Khalifa!
Home Business Magazine got to check out this event and it was definitely one for the books. The Blaze Stage was the zenith of Doritos’ “Blaze The Beat” competition, a fiery battle led by mentor Busta Rhymes with Doritos to discover the next big hip hop star. Thousands of artists across the country had downloaded producer Terrace Martin’s Doritos “Blaze Beat” this summer to spit fire to the track, and Busta picked the five finalists.
All of the competing rappers put on thrilling performances (one finalist even started off his show by doing a backflip), then Busta Rhymes and the other judges decided on the winner: Enoch Tolbert. Once he was deemed the winner of the Doritos Blaze the Beat competition, Enoch ecstatically entered the stage and was given a dazzling golden microphone award. He accepted his award and new title in front of other big name guest performers like Goldlink, London on da Track, and Taylor Bennett.
Internationally renowned rapper Wiz Khalifa then took to the stage and shut down the party with an enthralling performance filled with many of his most popular songs. Las Vegas socialites, Life is Beautiful 2018 attendees, and other VIP guests danced and sang along to top tracks like “Taylor Gang” and “Karate”. Throughout the night, partygoers also enjoyed snacking on delicious, fiery Doritos Blaze chips and drinking tasty spirits.
The Doritos’ Blaze Stage Official Life is Beautiful Pre-Party was the perfect event to help get festival-goers excited for the weekend ahead. It gave ambitious musicians the chance to get their names on the map and was also a fantastic brand marketing strategy for Doritos to promote one of their exciting flavors. In all, the event was a remarkable event that amplified the entire 2018 Life is Beautiful Weekend experience.
