Many brands made great strides to tie their names to the prestige of Sundance 2017, but the marketing efforts of American Express and Starwood Preferred Guest outshined all. Throughout the first weekend of Sundance, they pampered their SPG Amex Card Members with an exciting schedule of film festival activities to help them feel extra special. From lounges to a lavish late night soiree, American Express and Starwood Preferred Guest hosted fabulous events to get the word out about their card services.

Each day, card members could attend the SPG Amex LA Times HQ lounge on Main Street, where they could warm up with complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, and alcoholic spirits. There was also a special NoMad Happy Hour daily, featuring delectable eats like Lobster Rolls, Black Truffle Chicken Salad, cookies, and other small bites. This lounge was the perfect space for Sundance 2017 influencers to warm up, network, and discuss future business endeavors and the film festival as a whole.

In addition to these exciting attractions, card members and influencers could attend the #SPGAmex Late-Night Celebration with Cupcake Wars host Justin Willman, held at The St. Regis Deer Valley. The posh event featured a special magic and illusion performance by Willman, as well the upbeat sounds of DJ and electric violinist, Kat V. The NoMad Hotel also served up specialty cocktails and a Michelin starred chef also provided exquisite eats, including fried chicken.

American Express and Starwood Preferred Guest definitely did a fantastic job of marketing their services to Sundance 2017’s top influencers and attendees. Not only did these initiatives help to connect the brands to today’s top stars, but they were also able to promote their services to a whole new market of potential customers.
