Summer returned momentarily last weekend to tease the Twin Cities with a couple heat waves that made everyone think it was June again. The heat was also brought to The Armory in Minneapolis as Sound in Motion brought Sofi Tukker‘s “BREAD” Tour to the popular music venue. Sound in Motion is the Twin Cities’ premier production company that always brings to local EDM enthusiasts the best shows in the metro area. Home Business Magazine had the opportunity to attend the recent Sofi Tukker headlining stop in Minneapolis, and it was certainly one for the books.
The night kicked off with Carola who started with a masterful blend of deep house and melodic techno, crafting a soundscape that instantly got people up and moving on their feet. Next up was Shermanology, a Dutch electronic music duo known for their energetic and uplifting sound. They instantly got to work showcasing their catchy house/pop melodies and vibrant hooks. They both turned up the energy of the crowd to the max and got them ready for the headliner.
As Sofi Tukker took the stage, the crowd erupted with excitement, ready for an unforgettable performance. They launched into hits from their latest BREAD album, including “Bread” itself and “Guardian Angel” and the infectious energy of their music had everyone dancing and shaking their booties. They also played hits from previous albums like “Best Friend” and “Purple Hat”. Their album title stands for “Be Really Energetic And Dance” and the crowd certainly obligued. The energy was felt from the front of the venue all the way to the back as the crowd shaked and shimmied off all the stress of the week.
Sound in Motion played a crucial role in the production of the show, expertly managing the lighting and sound to enhance the overall experience. The lights danced in sync with the beats, which resonated clearly throughout the venue. Their meticulous planning and execution allowed everything to run smoothly, enabling Sofi Tukker to deliver an incredible performance and ensuring the crowd enjoyed every moment of the night.
