Beer Lovers Toast To Newport Beach Beerfest |
By Shannah Carol, Publicity Editor for Home Business Magazine
There’s no doubt that starting an independent brewery is a lucrative business endeavor filled with promise. Independent beer labels and brew houses have grown more popular than ever before, each with bands of loyal followers showing the same love and vigor that wine connoisseurs have for certain wines. Just this past weekend, Home Business Magazine had the opportunity to attend Orange County’s top celebration of independent beer labels and brewery start-ups: the Newport Beach Beerfest, hosted by Rock Star Beer. Held on the scenic, sandy beaches of the Newport Dunes at sunset, the event proved to be THE must-attend spring fête for all SoCal beer lovers.
Barley Forge Brewing Co. Was A Top Favorite At Newport Beach Beerfest |
Newport Beach Beerfest gave attendees the chance to enjoy unlimited samples of over 100 craft beers, wines, and spirits. From fruit-inspired Hefeweizens to ales, pilsners, and stouts, the festival provided a vast variety and selection of brews to satisfy virtually any palate. Thousands of beer lovers flocked from booth to booth in search of what they would deem their favorite beverage of the evening. Some of the most popular brews were the IPA from Beach City Brewery, German-style beers from Barley Forge Brewing Co., and delectable hard ciders from Portland Cider Company. At two booths in the exclusive VIP section, mixologists from Cocktail City also whipped up tasty cocktails for the excited guests.
All of the attendees also went gaga over the musical acts at the festival. Metro Station put on a stellar performance, as well as SoCal native Scott Russo (of Unwritten Law) and Fire In The Hamptons. In the VIP section, popular Las Vegas DJ’s pumped up the crowds with electric beats and thundering drop after thundering drop. A crowd of food trucks also stood by for the hungry festival goers, offering scrumptious offerings like gourmet burgers, tacos, and woodfired pizza.
Beach City Brewery Was A Popular Festival Pick |
In all, the Newport Beach Beerfest proved to be an exhilarating event that truly displayed the immense variety of independent breweries and beer labels on the West Coast. For all beer startups looking for a fantastic way to get their brand out in the public eye, the Newport Beach Beerfest should definitely take a top spot on the list of festivals to present at.
