The average age decreased from 50 to 45 since back in 2009.
The percentage of people visiting land casinos also quickly depleted, from 83% to 71% in 2013. They have “access to more knowledge and computing power than ever before”, and that “they have unprecedented access” to land-based gaming, as well as online gaming. Millennials are also intrigued by gaming systems that center around virtual reality. Games that are built for this platform can take up to 2 years to be made, with features like high-end 3D graphics, screen touch interactivity, high 4K resolution, professional music and audio effects. People don’t always know that casinos are involved in IT, but the IT industry is certainly helping casinos evolve. Casinos are showing that by using gathered virtual data together with enterprise managements and adding technologies for their games, they are encouraging the use of the applications.
