Disruptive, daring and dedicated to their mission of modernizing craftsmanship, Duke + Dexter has always aimed to break the mold. They bring a youthful attitude to classic styles and bring them back into the wardrobes of the modern man. From the way they style their now sought-after footwear, to the way they present them in their London stores, Duke + Dexter have become one of the UK’s most talked about labels. They seek every opportunity to bring their refreshing approach to footwear to the world.
Duke + Dexter Story
Founded by Archie Hewlett in 2014, Duke + Dexter rose to prominence through exploring the modernization of the classic slipper. The vision was to bring the sleek, classic look of the slip-on shoe into the 21st century. Through small but essential changes to the shape, Archie made the loafer much more wearable. Also, by replacing the traditional fabrics usually used on their head with canvas, suede, and intricate patterns, he dramatically increased their appeal to an entirely new audience.
Handmade in England
Just like the timeless notions of a loafer, craftsmanship has always stayed at the heart of everything Duke + Dexter does. The company’s new appeal was always aimed squarely at the latest generation of men who are wearing their shoes for a variety of occasions and over a whole spectrum of styles, from casual weekend wear right to black tie events.
The process behind every Duke + Dexter shoe begins in London, at the brand’s office and design studio. From camouflage prints to weaves and plush Italian suedes, each fabric is carefully selected to represent Duke + Dexter’s mission of daring to take on individuality. From there, it’s on to the brand’s workshop in Sheffield, where each and every pair of Duke + Dexter shoes are made, with a lot of the processes being completed by hand.
OPUS Collection
From humble beginnings with the classic loafer, the Duke + Dexter collection now spans everything from casual sneakers to chukka and Chelsea boots – something that is reflected in the brand’s OPUS collection. This collection features a range of the most popular Duke + Dexter styles that are never discounted, and always ready to go.
The OPUS collection houses some of the most iconic Duke + Dexter styles, including the Pyramid Black (the brand’s best-selling shoe). Set upon an exclusive rubberized sole that has been especially developed to offer flexibility, durability and out-of-the-box comfort, the Pyramid Black features a uniquely textured upper, giving a 3D effect to what is essentially a smart all black shoe – proving the brand’s ethos of adding a spin to a classic style.
OPUS is also home to the Volt Camo loafer, a firm favorite that the brand has garnered a reputation for producing. The Volt Camo loafer is a bright take on a daring look, with its orange and red geometric pattern that has been designed exclusively by Duke + Dexter to give the perfect balance between light and dark shades.
Duke + Dexter’s Collaborations
