Last weekend, the Twin Cities were swarming with events in celebration of Halloween 2018. There were countless spooktacular soirees and parties, and one event managed to break through the clutter and overshadow the other festivities: Seven Lions’s Horizons II tour show at The Armory, presented by Sound In Motion. At this must-attend show, thousands of costumed EDM enthusiasts filled the giant venue and danced the night way.
Many factors go into bringing a successful event to life, and the Seven Lions show further proved why Sound In Motion is leading the Twin Cities EDM events production arena. Like their past shows, Sound In Motion did an upstanding job in marketing the event via their social media channels. They first announced the show in June on Facebook (to a flood of follower activity) and generated buzz throughout summer and fall with “Like to Win” contests, #TBT Throwback Thursday posts to their last Seven Lions show, and more.
The entire Horizons II show was incredible, including the pre-performers. Jason Elliot Ross, a progressive house DJ originally from Minneapolis who is signed to the UK-based record label, Anjunabeats (like Seven Lions), dazzled the EDM fanatics with his energetic set. Then dubstep genius MitiS took over the stage and further amped up the crowd with a bass-heavy performance. Seven Lions then closed out the night with a jaw-dropping, beautiful set filled with his top hits, lasers galore, and a first-rate production set-up.
Seven Lions played a phenomenal, unforgettable set that left the massive crowd in awe. Sound In Motion also has a fantastic roster of other upcoming shows to look forward to, including San Holo at Skyway Theatre on Dec. 1st, Cosmic Gate at REV on Dec. 8th, and Morgan Page at REV on Dec. 21st. If you work with an EDM lifestyle startup, definitely keep these shows on your radar as top events to sponsor in December.
