Friends for almost 30 years, they are a the perfect ying/yang of a business venture. Michelle, the baker, and her creative side, to Michele’s corporate finance background with Fortune 500 companies.

Fresh from the Fancy Food Show in NYC this Spring, FreshBakedNY created quite the buzz in the “New Brands On The Shelf” section…and for good reasoning, the crowd could not get enough of these coconut filled crazy good cookies!! They’ve proudly launched one of the nation’s first e-commerce bakery and had a wild ride leading up to today.
The journey to FreshBakedNY started in a bagel shop in East Hampton, NY where Michelle created her first brainchild Mich’s Maccs. In 2008, Michelle Goldberg started Mich’s Maccs with 3 original flavors: Simple Milk, Simple Dark & Simple White. Michelle had been making The Maccs at home for decades. Friends and family urged her to go into business. Mich’s Maccs continuously sold out in 31 prominent locations throughout The Hamptons and Manhattan. In 2011, Michelle was hit by a car while training for a triathlon. Due to the severity of her injuries, she had to shut-down the business. 4 years later, recovered from 6 surgeries and convalescing, she was ready to bring The Maccs back. In 2015, Michelle researched and formalized the brand FreshBakedNY, LLC. It took a full year to develop and perfect the 13 current Michelle’s Maccs flavors and curate The Baked Collection. FreshBakedNY.com launched October 2016. Michelle has a background in business and sales, formerly in the Life and Health Insurance business – booking $1 million within her first year. With her former baked goods company Mich’s Maccs under her belt, a certified chocolatier, 15 years of experience as a private chef and sous chef in The Hamptons, Michelle has the power, smarts, determination and passion that makes FreshBakedNY an incredibly creative, fun and successful brand. She proudly stands behind the motto, K.I.S.S. as in, Keep It Simply Sweet.
The other half of this amazing duo is Michele Piedmonte. Michele is a proud alumnus with a Finance Degree from Manhattan College. She has 20+ years of experience in corporate finance and rose in the ranks to manage a $70 million IT budget. Michele is one of the “friends” – 30 years now- that was always pushing to bring The Maccs to market. In 2015, during FreshBakedNYs’ development year her role as the IT Finance Manager was outsourced. The timing was perfect, the stars were aligned & she joined on to launch FreshBakedNY.com and manage the operations for FreshBakedNY. Strategic planning, forecasting and operations being her forte, Michele’s expertise and partnership became the icing on the cake. Michele has the experience, determination and fervor that makes FreshBakedNY a lucrative business and flourishing brand.
Michelle and Michele have brought FreshBakedNY to life from the ground up. FreshBakedNY is the product of their 30 plus years of friendship, love, trust, companionship, and of course, a shared love of NY Style baked goods. Once Michelle and Michele’s paths crossed, the rest was history.
Both empowered, successful women raising families, they always turned to each other for life’s most important and trivial nuances. Whatever the issue big or small, they lean on each other.
Having raised 7 children between them, FreshBakedNY would be considered their 8th collective child. Michelle & Michele dedicate their lives to the success of FreshBakedNY. They sell, market and bake fueled by chocolate, sweat and determination.
