Minneapolis always reigns as a top summer hotspot for music, as there are countless concerts and festivals taking place to help keep the locals’ social calendars packed all season. Just last weekend, Sound In Motion took over the local EDM scene yet again by bringing Zeds Dead‘s much-anticipated Deadbeats Tour to The Armory in Minneapolis. The show was a huge success that filled the massive venue with bass music lovers.
The Armory opened its doors less than a year ago and has already become one of the most popular venues in the Twin Cities, so it was undoubtedly the best spot to host the event. Everyone couldn’t wait to see Zeds Dead perform, but the pre-performers were also highly noteworthy. Those who arrived to The Armory early were able to take in a sensational show by FuntCase (a dubstep DJ from England who performed at this year’s Coachella).
G Jones was another exceptional DJ that got the crowd headbanging with his bass-heavy set. Then Zeds Dead took over the DJ booth and the excited crowd jumped up and down with glee. The world-renowned Canadian EDM duo treated the attendees to a wondrous set filled with booming drops and thrilling tunes to groove to. From the pristine sound quality to the enthralling light show and first-rate production effects, the Deadbeats Tour was yet another outstanding experience to add to Sound In Motion’s list.
The Deadbeats Tour slayed last weekend’s nightlife scene in Minneapolis, and Sound In Motion has a whole list of upcoming shows at The Armory to look forward to. Several in particular that are sure to make headlines are deadmau5 on August 17th, Virtual Self on September 8th, and Seven Lions on October 27th. For all aspiring EDM lifestyle entrepreneurs, these shows are definitely ones you won’t want to miss! They will provide great insight into what it takes to orchestrate successful electronic music events.
