From September 30th to October 2nd, the <K-Lifestyle USA 2022> event will be held in East Rutherford, New Jersey’s, American Dream. KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) New York will be hosting these special exhibits of more than 100+ trendy lifestyle brands from South Korea in the second biggest mall in the United States. KOTRA New York is an organization which promotes and invests in exposing America’s markets to popular and unique Korean products. KOTRA functions as an essential link connecting brands and businesses in Korea to the United States.
Where will the event be held and what’s happening?
The event will be held on Court A of the first floor in American Dream, East Rutherford. The event will be open to the public without an admission fee. All throughout the area, there will be hundreds of brands and products in three fields: K-beauty, K-food, and K-lifestyle, displayed. K-enjoyers can test and experience complimentary samples of some of the products on display as well as freely look around and experience K-culture.
The products on display will have a QR code allowing potential customers to be able to access and purchase the products online. There will also be products and brands that offer discounts on their goods for customers. Customers who order more than $20 worth of goods online will be given an entry into a raffle at the raffle station. Raffle prizes include a LG TV, premium cosmetic sets, and other lifestyle products. Furthermore, there will be a photo booth where anyone can take photo prints and have their name engraved in Korean for free.
What type of brands and products will be seen at the event?
Korean goods, like beauty cosmetics, household appliances, and technology, already have reputations for being some of the best in the market. The event will have hundreds of consumer products and more with fields such as cosmetics, fashion, baby, household appliances, and food. There will be a variety of eco-friendly products that are environmentally safe, inexpensive, and at the same time high in quality.
As social responsibility of companies has increased over the years, there will be the same standards for Korean companies and brands as well. As such, out of the hundreds of businesses, there will be fifteen eco-friendly companies and seven social enterprises which develop special products for social minorities, such as books written in braille. A lot of the products on display will also be donated to better causes. As standards for companies are rising, through this event, the commitment to making a better society will be on display from a lot of these Korean companies.

If you listen to groups like TWICE or BTS, watch K-Dramas like “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” or “Crash Landing on You”, or enjoy Korean culture in general, this event will be a blast! There will be events which showcase Korean traditional culture and Korean pop culture. KOTRA New York will bring you Korean traditional dances, a makeup show, a Tae Kwon Do performance, and a K-Pop dance!
Korean culture has been on the rise ever since world-wide phenoms like BTS, Blackpink, and PSY exposed the world to K-Pop. K-Dramas and K-Films also dominated Netflix and the Oscars with shows like Squid Games or films like Parasite.
