Beauteque Beautifies Consumers with Asian Skincare Products
Asian beauty products are revolutionizing the way we look at skincare, and the brains behind Beauteque have jumped on the bandwagon. An eCommerce beauty company specializing in Korean (Asian) beauty products, Beauteque launched as a home-based business, selling their products through their online retail site and also through their two subscription services, the BB Bag and Mask Maven. Besides selling through eCommerce, Beauteque is also working with major fashion and beauty retailers in distributing the products they carry. The company targets millennials, aged 15 to 35, on the lookout for the latest beauty items and who also love surfing the internet and following many beauty influencers to check out what is currently being raved about. Customers are either very knowledgeable in Asian beauty or are fresh onto the scene and still learning what the best skincare products are for them to use.
The inspiration for this company derived from co-CEO and cofounder Elina Hsuehs struggle with very bad acne during her freshman year of high school. She tried all types of skincare products and routines but nothing worked. A friend of Elinas brought back masks and creams from South Korea and after using the products, her skin and acne cleared up tremendously. Elinas mother, an entrepreneur, also inspired the idea of starting Beauteque. With her love for Asian beauty products and business, she was a huge contributor to the foundation of the brand.
Beauteque attributes a great deal of its growth to its promotion through heavy use of the media, social media, and bloggers/vloggers. Five different social media accounts, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat, are used to highlight the newest brands and discounts that Beauteque has to offer. The company often works with the media, bloggers, and vloggers from YouTube and sends them their best products and subscription bags.
In lieu of existing for only two years, Beauteque is constantly achieving new goals that they deem proud of. Elina says, Our best business achievement so far, is being able to partner up with major retailers and convince them to carry our products in their stores.
It is the companys desire to expand their business and have their products sold in main fashion and beauty retailers as well as increase their customer base on their site and subscription services.
New Mask Launch
Beauteque has offered all types of beauty products such as masks, makeup, skincare, body care, beauty tools, etc., but so has its competitors. Since there are multiple places similar to Beauteque, this company is not the go-to like they would like for it to be. With Beauteque’s re-branding into an Asian mask company, the company will have the opportunity to be the go-to mask store. Beauteque’s goal is to carry over 1,000 different sheet, eye, lip, hand, feet, wash off, etc. masks as well as the BB Bag and Mask Maven subscriptions. The company will also carry more than just Korean masks; there will be masks from Japan and Taiwan as well.
Beauteque will be cost efficient and educational, which will make for very happy customers. Several other stores carry sheet masks for over $5.00, even up to $10.00, but Beauteques highest priced sheet mask is $3.25. Though this is not yet finalized, Beauteque plans to have a section on their website where customers can fill out their information (budget, age, skin type, what theyre looking for) and find masks that fit their needs. Not everyone knows exactly what they want or need, and Beauteque will be here to help and educate.
Leading up to this launch, Beauteque will have several sales on all products that they will no longer carry. On July 1, Beauteque will officially be an e-commerce Asian Mask company. With this launch, the beauty company will have several new mask bundles and promotions.
