From interactive booths to stage and drink sponsorships, music festivals always provide a multitude of ways for brands to promote themselves to consumers. Over the weekend, the highly anticipated Rock the Garden 2019 music festival took over the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and treated crowds of Twin Cities locals to premier headliners and brands. Presented by 89.3 The Current® radio station, Rock the Garden 2019 featured fantastic headliners and lead sponsors like Timber Tech and the University of Minnesota.
Rock the Garden is renowned for bringing some of the most sought-after acts to Minneapolis, and this year was no different. At the Main Stage, attendees had a blast dancing their hearts out to phenomenal performances by X, Courtney Barnett (a Grammy-nominated Australian singer/songwriter), and Cincinnati rockers The National. Earlier in the day, the Main Stage also welcomed Twin Cities rapper deM atlaS and Heart Bones, a collaboration between Sean Tillmann (aka Har Mar Superstar) and Sabrina Ellis.
Those wanting to break away from the Main Stage could also take in spectacular performances by none other than Bad Bad Hats, (an indie rock band from Minneapolis) and The Beths, a top indie pop band from New Zealand. Nashville singer/songwriter Adia Victoria also stole the show with her superb performance that featured a lovely mix of rock, afro punk, and country. All of the performers put on enthralling sets for the crowd.
In between sets, attendees also enjoyed sipping on hard ciders from Sociable Cider Werks (based in Northeast Minneapolis), cocktails from Tattersall Distilling, another local establishment, and tasty beers from St Paul’s Summit Brewing Company. The event also featured VIP Sponsor Robins Kaplan LLP Law Firm, on-site sponsors Planned Parenthood and Sparkling Ice, and Etix. The event’s main Print Media Partner was City Pages (a top local news publication) and Atomic Data provided the official Wi-Fi.
The Women Winning organization, whose mission is to encourage, promote, support and elect pro-choice women of all political parties to all levels of public office in Minnesota, also had a presence at Rock the Garden 2019.
Like past years, Rock the Garden 2019 definitely kept the summer music festival season going strong in the Twin Cities. Locals were seen everywhere smiling and dancing, and sponsors were able to promote themselves to countless passersby. If you own a company and want to promote your business to many new potential Twin Cities customers, definitely put Rock the Garden 2020 at the top of your list of marketing events to attend next year!
