There’s no doubt that music festivals provide invaluable opportunities for companies to connect with swarms of consumers. With music festival season in full swing, both large corporations and smaller brands are racing to sponsor multi-act concerts. Over the weekend, one event that dominated the Minneapolis music scene was Go Fest ’18, presented by Go 96.3 and Firefly Credit Union. Taking place at Cabooze Outdoor Plaza, Go Fest ’18 featured performances by The Neighborhood and AWOLNATION.
Go Fest ’18 was a spectacular experience that provided the perfect setting for brands and masses of Twin Cities locals to connect and enjoy live music. Earlier in the day, attendees took in outstanding performances by Yam Haus (the winner of Go 96.3’s Go Local Battle of the Bands), emo rappers L.I.F.T. (signed to Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy’s Decaydance Records), and popular indie-pop newcomers Lovelytheband. Then the huge crowd went wild when American Authors took the stage and put on a riveting surprise performance.
Afterwards, everyone danced and sang along to an awe-inspiring performance by Los Angeles indie-rock band The Neighbourhood. The band played some of their most popular songs like “Afraid” and “You Get Me So High”. AWOLNATION then stole the spotlight and put on a fantastic, energetic set for all the attendees. Twin Cities locals were seen jumping to the beat and singing the lyrics to “Sail” and their other hit songs.
In between acts, all the attendees were able to connect with both nationally recognized corporations (like McDonald’s) and other companies that were sponsoring booths and activations. Attendees loved taking photos with the latest models of Audi vehicles (provided by Audi of Minneapolis and Audi St. Paul). They also learned more about National Camera, Minnesota’s premier photo dealer of new, used and vintage cameras. Firefly Credit Union also told everyone about their personal and business banking solutions.
Go Fest 2018 was a superb festival for local indie and rock music lovers and Minneapolis as a whole. It helped enhance Minneapolis’s strong reputation as a major Midwest music hub and also connected major corporations and brands with countless consumers. If you work for a company that is looking for music festivals to sponsor in the Twin Cities market, Go Fest 2019 would be a surefire success for your brand marketing plan.
