Running a home business should be like baseball. Before each game the managers and umpires get together at home plate to review ground rules. They do this to prevent a dispute in the frenzy of the game on what is fair and what is foul. It is not unusual for people in a home business to start playing their game of business without setting ground rules or neglecting them. This can get tricky, as a higher proportion of home businesses employ family members. Boundaries between family and business get blurred. And when someone feels boundaries have been crossed, family relationships suffer. A balance between business and family activities is required.
