Major metropolitan areas sometimes experience a nightlife lull during the early days of the work week. However, that sure wasn’t the case in Minneapolis this week, thanks to Sound In Motion (the Twin Cities’ premiere EDM events production company). On Monday, Sound In Motion brought world-renowned DJ Benny Benassi to REV Ultra Lounge, located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. It was definitely one event no EDM fan wanted to miss!
Benny Benassi’s intimate, limited capacity show truly amplified Minneapolis’s Monday nightlife and brought fantastic business to the posh underground lounge. The excited crowd started the night off dancing to an electrifying set by Jack Trash, EDM events extraordinaire and the manager of Sound In Motion. He played an incredible set, complete with a live saxophone player who played perfectly in tune to his enchanting beats.
Benny Benassi then shut down the night with a set that was one for the books. The crowd went gaga for all the bass-heavy rhythmic beats and sang along to top hits like “Beautiful People” and “Satisfaction”. Benny Benassi looked nothing short of ecstatic to be there, as he happily danced along to his music and couldn’t stop smiling while taking selfies with fans dancing alongside him. It was a beautiful sight for everyone in attendance.
Sound In Motion is one of the powerhouse forces behind the Twin Cities’ rise in becoming such a major Midwest hub for electronic dance music. Sound in Motion also ensured that fans have shows to look forward to in the winter, as they scheduled two major events at Minneapolis’s new music venue, The Amory: Seven Lions/Tritonal/Kill The Noise on Dec, 15th and Above & Beyond on New Year’s Eve.
