Marc Roberts is Miami’s premier sports management professional, real estate investor, and entrepreneur who has built his career on hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
Who Is Marc Roberts?
But Marc Roberts, the prolific real estate agent in downtown Miami, has remained anonymous despite owning over 90% of the highest-end real estate in the city. Though few may be able to pick him out of a crowd during a Heat home game, all would agree that Marc Roberts has built Miami into the new century and continues to push the city’s landscape to innovative new heights.
Marc Roberts has created some of the most successful projects in the history of the city. He is responsible for some of the most iconic buildings, monuments, and icons in South Florida and across the world. He has been a key player in working on multi-billion-dollar projects that have helped breathe new life and glamour to many parts of Miami.
The projects include the Brightline Station and the Museum of Art and Science, connected to other modern sites scattered around Miami. The other five building newcomers include the American Airlines Arena, Federal Courthouse, Federal Justice Campus, and Arsht Performance Art Center.
Marc Roberts: Sports Management Career
Marc Roberts played sports from the time he was a little guy. He started with basketball. His passion for sports continued at American University, where he still managed to help lead their Division 1 basketball team to victory playing under head coach Gary Williams.
Russell (Boo) Bowers was Marc Robert’s collegiate basketball teammate. Boo Bowers was the scoring leader for American University and led all college basketball in points scored.
At practice one day, Coach Williams noticed that Boo was sluggish and inquired as to the reason. Boo told his coach that agents pounded on his door all day, and he hadn’t slept the night before.
Although Marc Roberts had only played college ball for a few weeks at that point, he saw the opportunity and decided to take it. Quickly, Roberts had convinced Boo that he was the best man to be his agent. Once Boo was on board, Marc started signing up other players, even umpires, and anyone else that he could think to represent.
The Plainfield Athletic Club approached him when a local newspaper ran an article about a young man who represented many athletes and asked if he would be interested in representing their best boxers.
Roberts was able to achieve success even at a very young age. At 19, he became the youngest man ever to promote a professional boxing match. His sports and entertainment empire was born. Roberts enjoyed a long and decorated career as a sports management professional and only stepped down from his full-time role because his real estate development career demanded more and more.
Marc Roberts: Real Estate Successes
In 2003, Marc Roberts started working with Arthur Falcone to develop a prime downtown area in Miami. It meant establishing the Park West district. The location was ideal for development on the highway at 95 and 395, east and south. The hub would transform Miami into a world cultural capital with glimmering hotels and eclectic neighborhoods.
Back then, it was common for more than 1,000 cargo trucks to pass through that area every day. There was no hope for it unless someone invested money. Marc Roberts realized he could profit from building a port on these grounds. These were high-growth areas. As a result, luxury residences like Marina Blue, One Thousand Museum, and 900 Biscayne started popping up. Roberts saw the potential in transforming overlooked areas into exclusive housing through smart development tactics.
Roberts heard about a new tunnel that would help reduce the number of cargo trucks on the street. The reports of tunnel construction and new government structures were very strong, so he decided to take the chance. At the time, he was also unaware of the train station. That wasn’t even a thought. As the rumors became true and projects began, Roberts assembled the land from 2003 to 2008. His investment with Arthur Falcone reached $100 million by 2008. Then, the unthinkable happened, and everything had to be restructured as a financial tsunami swept over Miami.
Marc Roberts co-founded the Miami Worldcenter. A total of 12,000 square feet are occupied by five luxury hotels and several office buildings in this complex. The company also owns most of the Park West neighborhood.
The Miami Worldcenter is wrapping up a $2.5 billion first phase. At the moment, Brightline Station, a $3 billion project, is completing its first phase and will serve the cities of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and eventually Tampa and Orlando. One Thousand Museum is building condos that sell for $5MM to $30MM in Overtown. Within a short distance from Marc’s land, about $6 to $7 billion worth of development is happening, with thousands of new apartments lining the highway at Marc’s and The Best Land in Miami.
Today, Marc Roberts Company is a leading real estate investment company with over $1 billion in investments.

An award-winning landmark destination, the nightclub seamlessly transitions to after-hours entertainment. It is perfectly designed to entertain and entice.
Marc Roberts founded Club E11EVEN Miami. He envisioned a new approach to nightlife entertainment. He aimed to provide a nightclub that would never close and be available 24 hours a day. The venue is open 365 days a year and offers a similar level of luxury as other nightlife venues in Miami. Identical to a Cirque de Soleil experience.
Marc Roberts has developed and owned an overwhelming portion of the real estate in downtown Miami. Though you may not know his name, he is the sole reason Miami is the international metropolitan hub today. Marc Roberts truly is Miami’s builder of dreams.
Miami WorldCenter is one of my favorite things. Marc Roberts must spend most of his time in the future in order to grow and open up downtown Miami as he has.
