The night kicked off with Eric Doa opening up the show. Eric Doa is a vibrant DJ renowned for his playful yet angst-filled blend of hyperpop, emo-rap, and trap. His high-energy sets combine catchy melodies with genuine emotion, crafting an exhilarating atmosphere that captivated the venue. With each track, Eric skillfully engaged the crowd, using infectious rhythms and relatable lyrics to pull them in. By the time Porter Robinson took the stage, the crowd was electrified and ready to immerse themselves in the finale.

Finally, Porter Robinson took the stage to the delight of the screaming venue. Porter took the crowd on a 3-part trilogy of beloved old songs and fresh new tunes. Porter has a strong reputation for his emo/punk EDM that features fast-paced synthpop and dance-worthy trance beats. It had been seven long years since he had performed at the Armory, and the audience was ready for a two-hour journey through all his hit albums. The stage featured a unique sound system and screen setup, a live band, colorful balloons that responded musically to his drumsticks, and smaller screens throughout the venue. It was a vibrant showcasing of audiovisual beauty that Sound in Motion orchestrated with ease. Act 1 featured an optimistic ride through his newest album, “SMILE!”. Act 2 gave the audience the emotional favorites from his second album “Nurture”. Porter then gave us a beautiful interlude showcasing his piano playing skills while covering the rest of his hits from “Nurture”. Finally, the crowd was treated to a nostalgic feast with all of his smash hits from his first album “Worlds”, with an encore to wrap it all up.
