Nothing makes the start of the cold, dark winter season less dreadful and more promising than the knowledge of a rich EDM music event schedule at the best venues in the Twin Cities. Just as the days got increasingly short and the motivation for weekend excitement dimmed, Sound in Motion brightened up the winter blues of electronic dance music (EDM) enthusiasts around the metro by releasing a stacked and packed schedule of some of the most acclaimed artists in the EDM industry. Sound in Motion continuously proves to be the Twin Cities’ most reliable and dependable music event production company. This past weekend was just the start of the electrifying winter music season when they hosted Tape B’s “The Soundtrack to Everything You Forgot” tour at The Armory in Minneapolis. This sold-out event was a night of carefree head banging, blissful jumping, and exceptional DJ sets from start to finish.

The night of pure euphoric beats started strong with Chicago-native DJ CozyKev taking the stage. His hard-hitting dubstep and dreamy melodic trap warmed up the crowd and got them bouncing on their toes with the snappy beats. Next up was Super Future, an experimental DJ that likes to blend nostalgic 2010’s synths with piercing bass and hard-hitting dance beats, even mixing in live instrumentation. Sound in Motion ensured his live mixing and spontaneous instrumental elements were seamlessly delivered, creating a flawless audio experience with intoxicating beats that kept the crowd dancing to every drop. Next up to the stage was MPH, who delivered to the increasingly packed venue an energizing bass-house set that kept the crowd wanting more. The final opener was ALLEYCVT, a heavy bass and dubstep specialist who fired up the crowd with her powerful drops, melodic self-produced vocals, and magnetic stage presence. She was a heavy hitting final opener, as she typically draws in a large crowd with her captivating beats and increasingly popular social media presence. Throughout the high-energy openers, Sound in Motion helped ensure the openers did not disappoint the sold-out crowd by keeping the visuals crisp, the lights timed perfectly to each pulsing drop, and the music production clear and balanced.

After the openers were finished and the sold-out crowd was buzzing with the excitement of the sets they just witnessed, Tape B took the stage and rounded out the night with a true bang. Known for his wobbly bass and nostalgic early 2000’s hiphop dubstep flips, Tape B truly gave the crowd their money’s worth with “wubby” drops that got the concertgoers euphoric with excitement. The venue shook with each drop’s sheer intensity as his heavy-hitting bass got the crowd making their necks sore as they headbanged through the night. Thanks to Sound in Motion’s expertise in event production, the night was a seamless audio-visual fever dream. The lights pulsed and danced perfectly in sync with every wobble and switch-up, pyrotechnics lit up the stage at each massive drop, and hypnotic visuals rippled across the venue, amplifying the crowd into pure bliss. With pristine sound engineering and jaw-dropping effects, Sound in Motion crafted an unforgettable atmosphere that elevated Tape B’s set into a fully immersive, nostalgia-laced bass experience.
