Sourced in India from one of the world’s most ecologically and socially sustainable supply chains, Conscious Step socks are made from organic, Fair Trade cotton. Each new pair is vegan certified with recycled packaging. This makes them unbelievably comfortable, uncommonly durable, and as good to your feet as they are for the environment. Information about their recent trips to their manufacturing partners can be found at http://consciousstep.com/pages/manufacturing.
Conscious Step was founded in 2013 by a finance professional, a medical doctor, as well as an industrial designer and marketing strategist from New York, New York and Sydney, Australia. Concerned with the lack of awareness and the gravity of issues faced by their generation, they sought to create a way for the conscious individual to support global solutions in a way that was convenient, tangible, and recognizable. They settled on socks, and Conscious Step was born.
Socially conscious sock brand Conscious Step has released new and improved Conscious Collection gift sets just in time for Father’s Day.
These designs are the most recent addition to Conscious Step’s collection of socks, all of which create quantified impact for global causes. These boxes include two Conscious Collections for men, and one for women. Handcrafted with a streamline magnetic clasp, these boxes are as good on the environment as they are good-looking. For men, Conscious Collection: Books, Water, Poverty provides 2 schoolbooks, 18 months of safe drinking water, and represents your commitment in the movement against extreme poverty. Conscious Collection: Hunger, Water, Books provides 6 meals, 18 months of safe drinking water, and 2 schoolbooks. For women, Conscious Collection: HIV, Water, Hunger provides 3 days of HIV therapy, 9 months of safe drinking water, and 3 meals.
With Shark Week coming up in July, it’s is the perfect time to rep Socks That Protect Oceans supporting Oceana. From sharks, sea turtles, to coral reefs, Oceana is dedicated to restoring and protecting the world’s oceans.
“This Father’s Day we hope to fill a void in the life of the everyday ‘busy’ dad, always wishing to do and accomplish more. To provide a gift that keeps giving, from the comfort of his toes to the issues that will affect the lives of his grandchildren”, stated CEO and co-founder Prashant Mehta. When asked about the decision to support multiple causes with their collection, the cofounder’s explained, “We had an early realization while speaking to our customers that different people were passionate about different causes, and it seemed there was no one size fits all approach to saving the world. In an effort to provide customers with a breadth of issues and solutions to support, we aligned our socks behind the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda; humanity’s roadmap to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and fix climate change in the next 15 years.”
Conscious Step will launch new designs for their dress socks, as well women’s in July 2017. Partnerships launching at this time include Malaria No More. With multiple styles and sizes soon to be available, you can grab that perfect gift just in time for the holidays and cooling temperatures.
The Conscious Collection box is available for Father’s Day 2017 and can be ordered at www.consciousstep.com.
