Jennifer: As the Celebrity Fitness Host of People en Español Facebook, your role is to inspire viewers to work out consistently and eat healthy. How do you influence viewers through this social media platform?
Carlos: It is very important to me to show just how easy it is to develop a consistent regimen both in fitness and nutrition. I develop quick and effective total-body workouts that help people to challenge themselves week to week. I believe that when people see the progress they are making, they are even more inspired to stay motivated on a consistent basis. It is my goal to positively impact lives and share my passion for health and wellness. People en Español Facebook is an excellent platform for me to achieve that goal.
Jennifer: You are one of the top Trainers at Equinox Fitness, how did you get started in the fitness industry?
Carlos: It was simple, I chased my passion. I started training people because I had a passion for being healthy and feeling strong. It was such an amazingly positive feeling for me, I was instantly inspired to help others obtain that same feeling. Everything falls into place after you have worked out and eaten right. You may find that your mental clarity may improve, you may have more energy, you may sleep better – I believe that these positives all help lead to a happier and healthier life.
Jennifer: What does it take to have discipline to eat right and work out consistently?
Carlos: Keep your goals realistic. To begin with fitness, pick three days out of the week and make an actual appointment with yourself on your calendar to perform some type of exercise – make sure you are specific to the time you allot yourself. Make sure you choose exercises that you enjoy. Maybe its hiking, lifting weights, running, sprinting, performing core exercises, doing ballet, swimming or more and just know, every single bit of exercise counts. With nutrition, I combine high fat and protein such as eggs with avocados or bacon. I eat very little carbohydrates as they create glucose and your body burns glucose (from carbs) before it burns fat.
Jennifer: You are a huge fan of Wakaya Perfection’s KetoFUEL meal replacement shake and KetoBURN capsules and take them religiously, how do you enjoy your KetoFUEL and KetoBURN each day and how do they make you feel?
Carlos: Wakaya Perfection’s KetoFUEL Meal Replacement Powder is simply put, delicious. In my experience, all of meal replacement powders I have tried have either a chalky or chemical taste to them. I enjoy our KetoFUEL in everything from my coffee in the morning to even adding it to an alfredo sauce for dinner over spaghetti squash noodles. Jennifer: You have built an incredibly loyal following as the Celebrity Fitness host of People en Español Facebook, do you feel that social media is a strong platform to share the message of health and fitness?
Carlos: There is no denying that social media is thriving worldwide. I truly believe that the time is NOW to embrace social media as an effective platform to communicate. Look at Facebook for example. 76% of Facebook users visited the site daily last year with over 1.6 billion daily visitors. The numbers are staggering and it’s a testament to what I believe: Facts tell but it’s the stories that sell. It’s what I love most about hosting People en Español Facebook and also what I love about the Wakaya BulaFIT Facebook community. I see Ambassadors posting real life experiences, whether up or down, their life-changing results, testimonials and more. Social media is the way to engage into conversations and do life together. I love to see our Ambassadors maximize social media in health and wellness to grow their business, its the best of both worlds.
