Ray was the popular host of LateNet with Ray Ellin, the groundbreaking comedy/variety show to simultaneously combine both in-studio and interactive online audiences. Show creator and host Chuck Barris gave Ray his blessing to host the live show. Ray produced and directed the film The Latin Legends of Comedy, which he sold to 20thCentury Fox. The film came in third in per-screen average during its limited theatrical release. Ray is the owner of Aruba Ray’s Comedy Club on the island of Aruba. The venue recently celebrated its seven-year anniversary, and does approximately 100 shows a year, featuring top US comedians on each show (including Ellin). The wildly successful venue is rated Number One on TripAdvisor in three different categories, including ‘Best Show’, ‘Best Nightlife’, and ‘Best Fun and Activities’. Known for his ability to ad-lib and improvise with any crowd, Ray has become one of the most sought-after hosts for corporate and charity events. Ray’s ability as a comedic auctioneer has raised over two million dollars for worthwhile causes. As an actor, Ray co-starred in the romantic comedy Killing Cinderella, and produced and co-starred in the short films Yellow, The Try-Out, The Face, and Felix the Painter. He has made numerous TV appearances on CBS, FOX, ABC, VH1, Discovery and HBO. He has been featured in many TV commercials including those for Volkswagen, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, and Budweiser. Ray co-created and produced the animated series La Familia featuring John Leguizamo. Ray is a regular performer and host at the Comedy Cellar in New York City.
