Meriel and Lucy launched their frozen yoghurt lolly business, Claudi & Fin, with the help of Start Up Loans in 2013. The pair met when their children became friends at a local playgroup and they discovered a mutual love for great tasting and healthy food. In the height of Summer they struggled to find any natural ice lollies for their children so, Meriel and Lucy joined forces and developed their own brand of healthy lollies - Claudi & Fin was born. They named the lollies after their children and chief taste testers; Claudia and Fin. After receiving their Start Up Loan, they managed to secure a contract from Sainsbury’s to supply an amazing 250 stores after successfully defeating 400 food start up hopefuls in a competition called ‘Pitch Up with Sainsbury’s’. Claudi & Fin lollies are now also stocked in Ocado, Waitrose, Tesco, Budgens as well as SuperValu and Dunnes in Ireland, making their products available in over 1,000 stores across the UK and Ireland. They have also just launched their new mini lollies, including a delicious peach & apricot flavour.
