America’s craft beer industry is very fruitful, especially in Minnesota’s Twin Cities metro area. Every week, locals flood the area’s many craft breweries and cider houses to sample exciting new offerings. Just over the weekend, a massive crowd of Twin Cities beer lovers attended the 10th annual Winter Beer Dabbler, held at the State Fairgrounds in St. Paul. At this event, attendees got to sample brews from over 180 breweries and cideries!
The 2019 Winter Beer Dabbler was a raving success that attracted a colossal crowd of local beer fans. Everyone had a blast roaming from booth to booth in search of new favorite brews. Booths for top Twin Cities breweries were popular, such as Minneapolis’s Bauhaus Brew Labs, Boom Island Brewing Company, Fair State Brewing Cooperative, Indeed Brewing Company, and Surly Brewing Company. Booths were also popular for St. Paul favorites like Bang Brewing, Clutch Brewing Co., and Lake Monster Brewing.
Minnesota cities outside of Minneapolis and St. Paul also had a huge presence at Winter Beer Dabbler. Attendees enjoyed sampling the Nutella Porter from Lakeville Brewing Co. and tasty brews from Little Thistle Brewing Co. in Rochester, Minnesota, Nutmeg Brewhouse in Arden Hills, Shakopee Brewhouse (known for their Magic Feather Peanut Butter Porter), and Spiral Brewery in Hastings. Another popular booth was for Bald Man Brewing in Eagan, which is known for their Tupelo Honey Brown Ale.
There were also many booths for breweries in other states and nationally renowned beer labels. Event attendees enjoyed beer from Samuel Adams (based in Boston), Brewery Ommegang of Cooperstown, NY, Central Waters Brewing Co. of Amherst, Wisconsin, Coronado Brewing Co. in California, and Seattle’s Elysian Brewing. In addition, hard ciders from Angry Orchard Hard Cider (of New York), Blake’s Hard Cider Co. in Michigan, and Vander Mill (of Michigan) attracted a lot of foot traffic.
In addition to all of the top-grade breweries, many fantastic sponsors were able to market their brands to the hordes of attendees. The event’s main media partners were Pioneer Press, The Growler, and 89.3 The Current. The stage sponsor was Minnesota Wild, the Minnesota United FC soccer team hosted an interactive booth, and the Minnesota Timberwolves hosted the silent disco. Metro Transit was the transportation sponsor and there was also an incredible meat and cheese showcase courtesy of Lunds & Byerlys.
Other sponsors helped make the event happen, including ABV Technology (a Designated Driver Sponsor), August Schell’s Brewing Company (the Glassware Sponsor and Premium Booth), and Country Financial (the Brewer Vendor Hospitality). Roseville Visitors Association was the online ticket sponsor, DDi – Drink & Drive Intelligently was the wristband sponsor, and Hammer-Schlagen® was an activity sponsor. The pre-wristbanding locations were Gabe’s By The Park, Joe Senser’s in Roseville, and Stout’s Pub in St. Paul.
Minnesota Lottery was the American Brewer Warrior Sponsor and Hamm’s Brewing Co. was the official palate cleanser. Attendees also enjoyed checking out exciting vendor booths for Hippy Feet‘s eco-friendly products that create jobs for homeless youth, Stigma Hemp Company‘s CBD products, Revitalyte‘s rehydration solution, and Philtera Cold Brewed Coffees. The event also featured Eau Claire’s Blue Ox Music Festival, Advantage Embroidery & Screen Printing, All Energy Solar, and Renewal by Andersen‘s window replacements.
Like past Beer Dabblers, the 2019 Winter Beer Dabbler provided the perfect setting for Minnesotans to socialize while enjoying countless pours of tasty beers. Attending breweries gained many new fans and the sponsors and vendors were able to market their offerings to a constant flood of local consumers. This event was a highly enjoyable experience that helped promote the wonderful craft brewery scene in Minnesota and beyond.
